    Night Elf Army

I dont know if there are any warcraft fans out there, but my idea for my wood elf army is to make them like the night elves from warcraft. Im thinking female glade guard to be the archers, warcrafts dryads (female centaurs that throw javelins) as the glade riders and huntresses (elves riding panthers) as my wild riders. other than that just paint my army to look like night elves. I was wondering if anyone had and ideas to help me convert or know of non games workshop figures i could use to represent them. also any suggestions and other conversion ideas would be appreciated.

You can find lots of metal minis but plastic might be harder. Do you want RnF models or heroes.

Have you looked at Reaper's site? They have some sweet models.

I'm thinking more regular unit conversions, but ill definitely convert my heroes as well. Heroes are a lower priority to me right now. i want a good looking army i can field asap, i can always go back and spend a long time for my centerpieces. Also i decided im gonna convert the orion figure (still playing him as orion) to look like the keeper of the grove by cutting him in half and mounting him on a horse as a centaur.

Thanks for the tip about Reaper, they look great. Are they the same size (or at least close to) as games workshop models? i couldn't find anything about the size on the website.

In that case, I'd go with GW plastics. They're fairly easy to paint (the archers, I mean) and look quite good.

Are you looking for a less expensive option? Just prefer something else? I guess you've already started looking at ebay.

Here's a thread that links to lots of mini producers. There are some great elf minis out there. I'd definitely check out Reaper but you'll find lots of others, too.

yeah, i think i will go with just regular glade guard for my archers. if not this would get really expensive really fast. i found some good looking tigers from reaper for my panther riders. all i need now is something for my javelin centaurs.

    Thanks again for your help.

you could convert DE Witchelves, they're more nekking and bigger boobed.
I'd try to keep it to GW stuff and putty, that way you can use it for tournaments.

For dryads, you could use the 6th edition Daemonettes, and some smaller horses for the bodies.

I really like your idea! (I don't play WoW tho, my only reference for Nightelves is from DotA)

I really like your idea about the witch elves. I just need to give them bows and fix that hair somehow. The daemonette dryads could work, but i think they'd take a lot more converting.

These are great ideas keep em coming!
