Has anyone played a MEC? I'm starting one and wandered if anyone has experience with that. In fact I let my brother have fun to read the extra rules and play around the campaign table ; my job is the battlefield .
I'm looking for any kind of advice : terrain, power points, civilization, how to allocate points to the army, etc...
They will all be usefull.
All I can tell you is that it takes a strong leader and gaming group.
Ours fell apart mainly because the guy in charge was a jerk who manipulated things so that he could dominate. Plus, he was just a jerk in general. Anyone who moves terrain out of the way so that he can get his unit past constitutes jerkhood to me.
So that's as far as my experience got.
Up to now its quite frustrating. I send my 2 armies explore (one of 1k another of 5 hundred) each facing 1k points of neutrals. 500 automatically fled and I lost 1k game v.s. dwarves (damn dwarves!!! ) Another guy peacefully discovered free lands as well as well as playing an edict action.
It's like DnD w/ more luck-based
Hope that luck's gonna come back for us later...
p.s.: sorry to complain a lot. I'm very frustrated...
