What do you think of using the High Elf Archer models as Wood Elf Archers? I think it would look ok with the right colour scheme. Whatd'ya think?
Not a bad idea, do you think that with a bit of tweaking you could use high elf spearmen as glade guard?

The Spearmen idea is pretty good because glade guard cost a lot, but why archers? Wood Elf archers look okay, but are much cheaper than High Elf ones!
2 sets of 8 Wood Elf archers = £10 (£5 each)
1 set of 16 High Elf archers = £15
What's the point?

Yes people i know that my spelling and punctuation is awful but I am product of British teaching pollicies so what can I do about it?
I think the high elf spearmen are a bit too heavily armpured to pass for glade guard.
I kill two dwarves in the morning, I kill two dwarves at night. I kill two dwarves in the afternoon, and then I feel allright. I kill two dwarves in time of peace, and two in time of war. I kill two dwarves before I kill two dwarves, and then I kill two more.

Well consider Wood Elves are going to be Re-Done soon I wreckon you should hang on, and if my thoughts are correct, all the new Wood Elf stuff is going to look Bad-Ass.
I've got two points to this.
First - I think the highelves archers are way to armoured to be woodies, woodelves archers can't have any armour.
Second - I've made some gladeguards using plasticarchers, cutting away their arms and using highelves arms with spears, it's actually looking quite ok.
But as spacecow said - hang around and see the new figs, then make your choise.
High Elf archers doesnt even have any armour? They have the head metal thing (thats just moronic), but id harly claim it to be armour. Other than that, they are cloth, cloth, cloth, and more cloth.
IMO, if you GS hoods/capes for them, they would look great.
Ive been toying with the idea of glade guard/high elf thing for a while- i have loads of the old 4th edition plastic high elves knocking about and don't want to fork out for glade guard models. I was thinking of painting the scale armour to look like leather (negating the heavily armoured bit) and maybe messing about with some wire around the shafts of the spears to give it the look of ivy and make them look a bit more woody. It might look like theyve just struggled to walk through a garden centre though...hmmm.
