Kk, here is the deal, I just recently bought a Wood Elves Batallion, and i just ordered a box of wardancers with full command, so I need some help.
I have a 3000 Ogre Kingdom army and I wanted something completly oposite to play with.
My idea is to create a balanced army of around 2000 pts, but is allways nice to here from the people who has been playing WE longer.
So far I like the Eternal Guard, Waywatchers, Wild Riders (besides the things I already ordered) but really need some pointers.
Thanks in advance
I would stay away from the eternal guard for awhile. They don't fit well into a mobile force that would be the change you are looking for in coming from Ogres. I would pick up a great eagle in addition to what you have already. And probably 3 warhawk riders. And you will want some characters. The great sword wielding elf gets lots of use, as does a wizard on foot. And you will want a branchwraith or to model one from the battalion box. I would advise you to get another box of dryads as well and maybe some more archers.
Welcome to the forest,
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
agreed. Do not use the Eternal Gaurd until you have familiarized yourself with the rest of the army. start your armies off with 2 units of archers (10ish) and 2 units of dryads (8ish), and add from there. concentrate on learning how to work the movement phase and use the woods to your advantage. once you get the hang of that, it's time to start refining your troop choices to suit your style.
Wild riders are amazing but i agree with the great eagle he is pure gold and you gotta get a treeman.
"U" is not a word.
