Welcome to Librarium Online!
Yes my pointy ear wood dwelling friends I suffer. I suffer from an insatiable lust toward the dankness of the Wood Elf’s. I WarDance a mere man with to much time and a comfy chair in front of my computer long to be part of your fine race. Perhaps a plastic surgeon could help me with the hole ear thing? Joking aside, I haven’t played Warhammer in many years but I really want to get back into it. What brought this line of thinking? Wood Elf's! Death to all who enter the forbidden woods of Athel Loren.
So, what's your question?
After you're done sating your lust on the dankness of the Wood Elf denizens, slow down and take a look around Athel Loren.
The forbidden forests hold many dangers, but lurking opportunities likewise abound. The Wood Elves really are a great army. The models are gorgeous, and you can paint them to whatever seasonal (color) scheme you want. They're still fun to play and competitive.
I've been hooked on them since they came out in June 2006. I'm starting Warriors of Chaos now, but WEs are still my main army.
From the impression I've gotten, heck yes they are!
Read the codex yesterday. Basically, an uber elite infantry armor with the staying power of god. Presuming you build them right.
They can also do a very powerful run around list with Mauraders and chaos knights. Shorter ranged than ours, and hits far harder.
I might have to pick them up myself. But, I could be wrong.
So it seems. We will see how it goes. But enogh off topic staff... Sorry WarDancer.
Personally speaking, I came back from a 5 year hiatus from WHFB to woodelves. They are a great army to re-introduce yourself with. the models are sexy and they have an unconventional approach, so can be quite effective at confounding opponents.
Ride the pony!
