I just got home from my fourth Warhammer match ever. I had 1 win and 2 losses when I enterd the match and now I was up against the Warriors of chaos, Managed to get together 1499 points for the match and I was sure I would get whiped out but after a long hard match I actually managed to emerge victorious, With 15 points from a draw. Had he managed to get another 15 points from me it would have been a draw..
I was very plesantly suprised^^
Ok, I admit it, This post was mostly just bragging about my narrow victory but I was expecting to get totaly anihilated..
Woc are not impossible to beat. In 2 games against them I've got a draw and a victory. They are pretty strait forward in general.
But winning is always nice
It was the closest match ever in the group I play in, Well, we are only 5 or 6 people total I think.. But I'm still rather amazed I managed to win. I won my first match against orcs and goblins (He only had weak models and died to the arrows basicaly) Then I got whiped out by both Bretonnia and Vampire Counts, And barley defeated Warriors of Chaos. I also orderd a Treeman after the match so that might help me some in future matches ^-^
Good game. I just played my first game against the new WoC today. He conceded after 4 turns. On the second turn, my spirit sword weilding alter highborn went after his lord on juggernaut. Kill the lord and ran down the jugg. Then got charged by a unit of warriors and proceded to tear up the champ in a challenge and run down the unit. Then combo charged with him and a standard alter noble into the warshrine and detroyed it. All in all, it doesn't look like the WoC are broken in any way and can be beat.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
Nice, My standard Alter Noble did quite well too. He was charged by a group of knights or something. there where 4 out of 5 left, 3 normal ones and a champion or hero or something. The opponent attacked first, I suvived with no wounds, I counter attacked and managed to chop down all three knights in a single go, His hero/champion attacked on the next round, I survived again, counter attacked and took him down (I was having alot of luck with the dive, While my opponent had bad luck with the dice. Still nice when your hero alone takes down the group everyone else said was the most dangerous..=P)
