And at 1000 points what should I take to be able to cast treesing most consistently?
I was thinking of getting 2 branchwraiths to do the job.
What do you think?
At 1k two branchwraiths would have a good chance of getting off 1 treesinging a turn. I would get the befuddlement of mischiefs spite also to draw out some dispel dice, or who knows, maybe make a unit stupid once during the game. Adding a treeman to the list would also give you a better chance.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
can you even take a treeman at 1k?
It's considered a lord isn't it?
well i played my roommate last night (forumjayz if you know him) and he put together a whole new list for 1k...including a treeman...and pretty much the only thing i can say is...ouch
it was fun to play against it though, it didn't feel like a unit that could not be beaten in a 1k game ( and it did went down, just took me more time then i expected)
but on the tree singing part, in 1k i think woodelf magic is a bit useless, the points on a second branchwraight could better be used for something else. (like a tooled up close combat lord "alternoble or something" that forumjayz used last game. that thing charged and killed my sorcerer on the second turn...my sorcerer beeing the only ranged attacks and flaming attacks that i had...)
just my 5cents
I would make certain to get at least three attempts with two dice each, if I wanted to get treesinging off.
You have to figure, at least one is not going to be cast, and you'll need at least two successful casts to make any difference.
