Welcome to Librarium Online!
I'm a first time poster here at the forums, (and pretty new to wood elves/war hammer been playing about 3 months or so) but I've been reading the forums for some time. I must say you guys certainly know your stuff. I have won quite a few games with your nuggets of wisdom.
My question is:
If i equip my Alter Highborn with
The Spear of Twilight : This weapon bestow killing blow upon its wielder
Murder of Sprites: The model gains +D6 attacks in close combat. These attacks are worked out..ect..ect..
Do the extra attacks granted by the spite have the killing blow effect? I'm assuming they do since it says i gain +D6 attacks and the spear gives killing blow to the wielder.
Thank you in advance!
Well, I'm no expert. But, given that the model gains KB, and given that the model gains the attacks. The model has attacks, and if it has killing blow, it's attacks act a certain way.
The additional attacks should be affected by killing blow the same way additional attacks from extra hand weapons would.
Spites attacks are independant of all abilities the character posseses. They are kind of like a little pet that attacks for you.
In the games workshop's wood elf faq there was a question asking if a murder of sprites on a wardancer character could benifit from shadow dances, here was their responce:The Spites' attacks have a separate and distinct set of explictly defined stats and special rules, and thus do not benefit from any abilities of their host.
(not meaning to make an attack on you btw, so I'm sorry if it comes across that way)
Given the FAQ, yeah. I'd concur.
(and no, seriously! How dare you insinuate I might make a mistake! O.O!!!! Joking of course. Never worry about that! I don't take things personally.)
Well thanks guys
Ya, i thought it would be way to powerful, but a possibility of 12 KB attacks with WS of 8 (on the charge) would be absolutely amazing.
