Hey there i was just reading the tactica on magic items and i came across this:
Advantages: Re roll to hits, including spites
Disadvantages: Only strength 3, if missed you can potentially wound the user.
Uses: Best use of this weapon has been on a BSB with the Hail of Doom Arrows. This is a now a legal tactic.
Is it true this is now legal as stated? reading from the book this doesnt look true, has it been amended elsewhere?
Pleeease say it has!
It does not let you re-roll the HoDA, as the HoDA eliminates the effects of magic bows.
A Standard Bearer may not take Mundane weapons and loses his bow. You need to give him a magic bow in order to be able to shoot the HoDA at all. Being and arrow, it needs a bow.
Asyendi's Bane is simply a cheap way to turn a BSB into a HoDA caddy. It's still amazing.
Ah see the logic here, gotya! I dont think this was clear in the tactica, but it is indeed very cunning!
And it was also stated in the FAQ for wood elves that a BSB could take a magic bow.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
only picked up WE in the last 5 days, i have a lot of the finer details to learn
