i recently posted my first army list on here and even the highest rep WE players said it was nice and would do good but my problem came after that, it dawned on me that u cant have 2rare choices at 1000points. the list ran 6waywatchers for one slot now the other "possible" rare choice was my noble on an eagle.now my question is if u mount lords/heroes from any army books i currently have daemons, darkelves, woodelves do mount choices such as eagles, coldoneknight chariots and so forth count as a rare or special choice? i know dragons take another hero slot, but because nobody said anything was wrong with my list i assumed my mistake was not a mistake, and if it is and they over looked that fact too, where in the rulebook would i find the page where it says that mounts i.e. great eagles/cok chariots on heroes take up your rare or special choices.
it would be nice to mount heros/bsbs on eagles and still be able to run 1-2 more eagles solo in varying point games. thx in advance
and if anyones confused my list was 1000points with 6waywatchers and a noble riding eagle
As far as I know it doesn't take up an extra rare slot if you a hero on an eagle the only exception in the wood elf army would be the Treeman ancient or a lord on a forest dragon
It would say in the armybook where you construct the army list if it took up an extra rare or hero choice in exactly the same manner as it states for the dragon.
Eagles don't take up a slot if used as a mount.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
Eagles used alone count as a rare choice but a eagle used as a mount does not count as anything else then a mount.
When a mount uses an other slot it is marked in the description, like a dragon that uses a hero slot.
