Anyone know where I can acquire the WE Lord on a Forest Dragon model? Or is everyone just using the Sisters of Twilight model? If so that is pretty annoying that GW is making us buy 2 models (mounted WE Lord model, and the Sisters of Twilight model) to play a "What you see is what you get" character.

Yes, there doesn't seem to be any dedicated forest dragon model except the sisters. Hopefully, gw will release a new (plastic) model at some point.
Until then you can do what I'm doing and convert the high elf dragon (which to my mind looks better, although the old forest dragon has its charms). Just follow the link in the sig if you want to check my take on it. Sadly, work is down as I am stuck at my parents for the summer. (I'm so bored, I ordered an ogre regiment just to have something to do, but the wait is killing me.)
Otherwise, I'd suggest Ebaying it.
yea i had asked the same question as well and the sisters are the only one they sell but u can get an older dragon off ebay or whatever but i think its ugly the newer one is way cooler model and i guess ill be putting a lord on foot model on him or maybe the noble with the horns that might look cool
Count me in with the "convert the high elf dragon" crowd -- either that or go for a *gasp* non-GW model!
The old and new models are almost exactly the same. The new model just took the old mold and added some spites and vines to it. Otherwise they are identical except for the riders of course. I actually like the model on the old dragon that I have. But for today if you don't have one, then the high elf dragon with a wood elf rider should be fine.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
I mounted a plastic high elf dragon onto a tree from the Warhammer scenery line. It worked out really well.
I got the sisters of twilight model and used the sisters as warhawk riders. The new warhawk riders were the only elf models in the new range I didn't really like. for a rider I used the greatsword hero. If you cut away the log he's standing on his legs are almost perfect for riding the dragon if you add a greenstuff saddle.
thanks for the tip.
Lately I've been playing with magnetizing models, and using excessive amounts of greestuff.
--I'm going to take a Hordes Carnivean (which I already own), and using magnets give him some wings (so when using him as a Carnivean I can take them off, and put spikes in their place).
-I think it will work well if I give him a longer neck and tail (which are already separate pieces so it shouldn't be too hard) and with a nice green paint job I think it will turn out pretty good.
-I'll get pics up when I'm done.

Heres something great that someone converted from the High Elf Dragon and Games Workshop Trees.
