Welcome to Librarium Online!
been bugging me for a while now: direwolf FAQ said that Asyendi's bane allowed the shots from spites to be re-rolled as well, so does that mean you can re-roll to hit teh murder of spites attacks as well (with daith's reaper)? And by any chance would they also benefit from the re-roll armour save bit as well?
Thanks in advance
Where in the Dire Wolf FAQ does it state this?
Why use science and education when ignorance and superstition will work just as well.
The official GW wood elf FAQ has:
"Q. Does Asyendi's Bane allow the bearer to reroll shooting attacks provided by sources other than the bow (i.e. additional shooting attacks provided by Spites, ect.)?
A. Yes. The wording is clear, if not intentional."
This means you can reroll shooting attacks from the Muster of Malevolents and the Pageant of Shrikes. The murder of sprites is melee attacks and not shooting attacks, so they cannot be rerolled using the Asyendi's Bane rule. Daith's reaper is also melee and would not work, and besides, a character cannot carry two magic weapons, so if he had Asyendi's Bane he could not carry Daith's reaper.
And armor saves are not shooting attacks so they do not benifit from Asyendi's Bane reroll rules. Only Shooting attacks.
Ah sorry I completly misread your question.
Heres my interpretation:
Since the murder of spites causes the model to gain attacks, and daith's reaper allows the model to reroll all misses, its would seem that murder of spite attacks could be rerolled if missed.
For armor save rerolls, the book clearly says it only works for the wounds of daith's reaper
