Has anyone found a way to beat a Dragon?

My friend has been using a high elf lord on a dragon and it constantly dominates me. I just can't find a way to kill it. Anyone else have this problem?

It would help yo know what items he takes on the Lord. Can you post this too ?

(Our Dragon can beat theirs, if we equip the Lord right).

If you like to live dangerously, an alter with the spirit sword gives you a decent shot.

Why would the Dragon player charge the Treeman when he can just avoid it?
Also the alter noble has to catch the dragon which is quite hard, however if you put in a duel lord in a duel with him you can win.

The most common HE Dragon set up (depending on the points) is 2+/4+ ward, re-roll-able armor save (the ward isn't reroll-able)

So take a Wardancer Highborn, with Blades of Loec, Annoyance of Netlings, and Amaranthine Brooch, Use the killing blow dance and kill his Prince first then the dragon will be no problem. You can put him in some unit that you know he will attack with the dragon or just wait till he gets close then charge out.

How is a wardancer highborn supposed to have a better time catching the dragon?

Also, once you kill the character, the challenge is over. The dragon will eat you afterwards.

The problem with a treeman ancient is that a dragon rider can easily avoid it and fight who and what it wants instead.

Do we have access to any magic that can hurt it?

The amber spear spell from the beasts lore is about the only reliable spell that could actually kill it, or at least put a good hurt on it. Other than that, masses shooting or the spirit sword are out best bets I would say.
