Are these forums active these days? not many people seem to respond or reply
- Wood Elves + Orcs & Goblins since 2009 -
They are active, at least I'm looking, the reason I don't reply is usually because I write a reply in the quick reply and accidently click "reply to thread" instead of "post reply" and I just don't want to write the same thing twice.
That means Sir Isaac Newton is the deadliest-son-of-a-bitch in space!
That happens to me all the time... it bothers the hell out of me, though I try to remember "Right is Right" because the "Reply to Thread" button is on the left =P
As for activity, I think it's a combination of A.) Having nothing new to talk about and B.) Wood Elves having very few things worth talking about. Everyone here is, for the most part, rather set in agreement or at least respectable disagreement, on just about everything in the codex because 5th kinda made everything rather bland for us. Almost every list has Treekin and Treemen with a level 4 lifeweaver toting a wand of wych elm, and a BSB with armor of heroes because competitivly speaking, there's not much else, and everyone agrees that almost the whole codex is overpriced and generally needs a buff, but the problem is, wood elves aren't going to see any rumors of an army book for at least a year, though probably longer. The one advantage of this is, right now, you can pretty much play whatever you want because the end result will probably be the same, so have fun with it. The only trees I have in my lists are dryads, but even they don't make it sometimes, instead I flood my side of the field with small units of archers (GG/WW) with Wild Rider/Dryad support. At some point, I want to get some Hawk riders/Eagles when I can spare the cash, but for now, I'll stick to my 80+ archers. Actually, I was planning on getting another battleforce at some point to put me over 100, then I'd also get 8 more wild riders with some easy converting, and 8 more dryads, which admittedly I don't use as often, but I can use them as horrors/bletters in my extremely slow building daemons army =P

I am always checking out any new posts. Post if I have something to say.
If you are referring to your 2 posts from yesterday, I didn't have time to read the batrep yet. And I have said so many times that EG suck, that I didn't want to repeat myself (oops, I just did).
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
Ah i just remember the day when this Forum would have tonnes of faces replying to threads, SirKently is a reliable poster so I never doubted his input. I think Ikbuh is right, since the new rules came out everything has been ironed out a lot and there is less to chat about.
I think I just like talking about woodelves for the hell of it - I love them!

I managed to lose my net for a while and came back to find very few posts or everything had good responses already

I think it depeands on were you write, coz i wrote two threads, one in the army list foum and one in some sort of question forum. In the question forum I got reponses so fast it was redicluss, in my oppinion (sirkently was first, as always) and then it took a day or two before I got the answer on the list.
I think it is pretty much the same people writing all the time. Every1 that has ever replyed to me is writing in this thread.... The few that are activ are really really activ. Thats just theimpresion I have gotten, and I am one of the few new members (again, just the impression I have gotten)
Nice to see that there are some people still in the woods
I read most days - one of those who don't post though heh
Well, I read any and every post I come across in this sub-forum (as do I with the lizardmen sub forum).
But most questions tend to be answered before I can put in my knowledge on how to solve it.
Also the current edition in combination with the very outdated armybook makes the WE kinda a hard army to play. They where though to get the hang of but rewarding, nowadays they are just hard to play.... which simply stinks. So I am waiting on a new edition armybook for the WE!!! I really hope that will come somewhere this year. So I can dust off some models, maybe buy a few new ones, and start playing diverse competitive WE listst once again.
So that was an awefull lot of text for newyears morning Have a good one!
