Just wanting to know which unit can provide the best protection for a Spellweaver Lord?
Dryads (w/ Glamourweave)?
Also a quick question about Lore of Life Throne of Vines Spell
If this is cast with irresistable force does the ignore miscasts on a 2+ automatically take effect?
Personally, I've been taking Ward Dancers and sticking them inside of my free woods adding adding a level 2 Treesinger with a Calligators Staff if I have the points. The problem with dryads is you can't just take glamourweave because you need a unicorn and then things just get weird and messy, and while GG aren't a bad choice to her in, I generally don't field them in units bigger than 5x2 (I take 4-6 of them xD) so there's not much protection there. Besides, there's something scary about not having steadfast against stubborn War Dancers. As for the Throne, yes you can ignore the miscast if you get irresistable force casting Throne. It's kinda like cheating.
40k: Silver Angels of Our Martyred Lady 7/2/3 - Daemons of the Great Squiggle! 3/1/0
Fantasy: Windhost of Athel'Loren 2/0/0 - Daemons of Another Great Squiggle! 0/0/0
Warmahordes: Legion of Everblight (Absylonia)
A mage can't go into a dryad unit. Must be forest spirit, meaning they must have a mount, meaning they can't join a skirmisher unit. I either put them in a unit of wardancers, or a unit of 20 glade guard with the banner of springtide.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
Thanks for that.
In future games I will look at the larger archer unit as an option
I have had tremendous success taking a wizard on a unicorn by herself. Take the stone of the crystal mere, and you are atleast relatively safe from warmachines. the rest of your protection comes from being movement 10. you also get the mobility to change what units you are buffing pretty easily.
