Welcome to Librarium Online!
I just got the makings for my new woodelf army and need to get movement trays for them. I found a great company for the trays, but I do not want to order trays that I won't need.
What are some standard formations for woodelves?
Is it better to run archers 10x3 or 6x3 or 5x4....
Most cav units I usually run as 5x2, is this good for WE?
You want your archers to have two ranks, any more than that and you begin to lose shots. The standard for archers is 5x2, which means a lot of units. I always run cavalry 5x2, when I use it.
That means Sir Isaac Newton is the deadliest-son-of-a-bitch in space!
Most of my archer units go 5x2, but I will run one 10x2 also. Cavalry I almost always run 6x1.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
The standard for archers is 5x2 or 6x2 depending on what you want. Even 7x2 isn't unheard of. Hell, occasionally I'll run them as bug as 10x4, but that's neither here nor there. Treekin are run 3x2 or 4x2, cavalry is usually 5/6x1 to hunt WMs or flank charge, but adding an extra rank is not unheard of (5/6x2). I've yet to buy or make any lasting base because the size always varies from game to game for me. My "trays" consist of slashed up cardboard boxes, but I am very tempted to make some permanent 5x2 and 6x2 trays. I've been meaning to, actually.
