Welcome to Librarium Online!
Ok, thanks to Wolf_Pack and his benignant information on my other post. I've put together a 1500 point army list based on one of Wolf_Packs own. The one thing im worried about is the number of warhawks, i fear it may be too little. Anways, here it is:
Wand of Jet
Lore of Life
Potion of Knowledge
Lore of Life
6 Glade Riders
6 Glade Riders
4 Warhawk Riders
2 Great Eagles
You've chosen a good mix of units, especialy in the flyers. Perhaps drop down the numbers from your 10man archer squad to increase the number of warhawk riders. These guys are great, able to fly rings around the enemy and pepper them with arrow fire (and are great for march inhibiting). Nice glade rider unit sizes, hold them on the flanks, and they'll do well, as will your dryads and wardancers.
My only real critiques are with your assault elements, and your choice of heroes. First of the mark is assault. You've chosen some good units to take on enemy units etc, but what about there big creatures (eg. shaggoth), the only way i can see you taking down monsters like that is but using two full turns of archery (what a waste), or dryads with extra stength. Enter the treeman, that's what he is for.
Second, your heroes. The mages themselves are strong, but the lore you chose isn't. I'll take beast over life any day, as there are more magic missiles and other tricks that'll help out a shooting army like yours.
I have to disagree on the choice of lore, witht he tree singing, the lore of life is much more dangerous, denying your opponent a shooting phase, poping heavy cav with stone master, scorching war machines on hills too.
Move up a piece of wood, and get 2D6 with wood master.
As opposed to:
Trying to perhaps get enemy cav to be stopped....
Rallying is ok, but it's in the magic phase, and still too late.
the crows feast, is half as good as the stone master or wood master.
But I admit the wolf hunts is very good, but it still does not make this lore a very good one.....
Dryads can hold off a Shaggoth all day, Asking him to hit with 6'S when him charges and after shift to +1S to knock him, he as T5 only...
My bad Wolf_Pack, I don't disagree with the mages (bangs head against wall). Had a mental blank when i wrote that, and wrote down the wrong law. Yes, life is the best law for wood elves(doh)

Thank you all for your help, and ofcourse this list will probably change with the coming of the new Army Book, especially with the dryads because i heard that they arent going to be bad. I dont know if thats forsure but i've heard it
Dryads are already amazing, as long as they don't loose their skill level, and wardancers too.
Best thing would be to have a good CC cav, not just circling around people till they get dizzy ^_^
i've heard that there are going to be centuar riders too, not really 100% sure on that but that would be sweet
Beastmen already have centaurs, I wouldn't see how they would explain having some on both sides.Originally posted by DranZeR@Mar 12 2005, 12:21
