Alright, I'm looking hrough my brand spanking new WE army book, and it occurs to me that it says "characters of the wardancer kindred may not take armour or magical weapons". Does that mean they cans till choose mundane weapon options? Would that mean that a Dancing Wardancer Noble armed with a Great Weapon gets 5 S7 attacks hitting (most of the time) on a 3+ in the first round of Combat?
I dont think they can choose any weapons...and it says you cant take any magic weapons that are not classed as Wardancer Weapons (blades of loec are the only wardancer magic weapons). This still means you can take talismans and enchanted items.
Considering all wardancers use wardancer weapons (usually 2 hand weapons, glaives, etc.), Great Weapons would be to heavy and unwieldy for wardancers to use.
Also Great Weapons require 2 hands to use...this means they would not get the +1 attack given by wardancer weapons. Therefore wardancers would not use great weapons.
That's what I was hoping someone would say (but to be fair, in the 'Wardancer Weapons' entry it states that the use 2 handed swords).
Cheers for that, Dori.
