hey, im going to make an all skirmishing army of wood elves. it will be painted in an autumn colour scheme (god im looking forward to painting that )
i plan on taking 5 units of 5 skirmishing glade, 3 units of 8-10 dryads, Lord with bow and hail of doom arrows, 3 units of wardancers (theme), and a treeman (once again for theme). is this fair to play agaisnt???
will players sigh and moan when i ask for a game.
the plan is to wittle em down for roughly 5 turns, then attack en masse (3 units to each opposing unit) in turn 6, capturing there standards (extra vps) is this a good plan.
so is this fair, if i were playing you in a tournament would you be annoyed at playing my army?
im making it for a tournament sooooo.
Thanks in advance
You can't use your glade guards like that. It says in the armybook that you can't have more glade guard scouts than you have 'normal' glade guards. So if you want to have 5 units of scouts then you must have 5 units of glade guards.
I think that waywatchers are better theme wise than a treeman... even though a single model counts as skirmishing, waywatcher are accually skirmishers
You can have warhawk riders as flying units count as skirmishers
zhaf is correct - you cannot have more skirmishing/scout GG than standard, and tbh havinga couple of units of standard gladeguard isnt a bad thing. st4 can be very effective when your hitting on 3's
can i suggest - dryads. treekin, treemen, gladeriders and then flesh out with wardancers and waywatchers
return of the mighty SNAKE MAN!
ah doh. well, it would be 2x 10 norm glade guard, and 2x skirmishing. the rest of the army would be skirmishers however. in 2k points, i will take treeman and waywatchers.....
i wasnt going to take warhawk riders, due to theme, only that.
do you think people would be upset by playing this armY??
A treeman is not a skirmisher as it is on a monster base.
i realise this, and i also stated that i was taking it for theme.
I vote its cool enough to be an exception. The army sounds cool.
