Soon (sunday the 13 th) i am playing an alliance together with lizardmen against orcs and ogres, anybody any tips, cause i'm afraid we'll be steamrolled:cry:
So any tips to use vs orcs and/or orgres?

Ogres hate poison and skirmishers, so a bunch of skinks should hold your friend in good stead. If you eliminate the Orc arrer boyz, and the Ogre Leadbelchers and Gnoblar Trappers they'll have no way to catch your (hopefully largely skirmishing and FC) army.
I've played two games against O&G and won both soundly. Each time my archers took down his giant before it got into combat. With it out of the way, the game was much easier. In the last one, wild riders, hawkriders, and a pack of dryads preserved my right flank (it took all three, but once clear, the Dryads and riders got into some more action in the center). A wardancer troupe with highborn took the right flank, along with another band of dryads. GG, EG, and a Treeman went up the center.
Anyhow, that's what worked for me against his particular army. I haven't run WEs against OK yet. Our only OK player is very sporadic as to when he shows. Against them, though, I'd think missile fire and outmaneuvering would be key. Ambushing might work well if your OK opponent is the kind who itches to get his ogres into combat and makes foolhardy charges as a consequence.
The majority of the matchs that I play are with teams casue I only have about 850 points. The team I play with the most is Lizardmen, cause he also doesn't have a 2000pt army yet. I can't wait to hear how this turns out.
I find the best way to fight with Lizardmen is in a support role. The saurus warriors can hold the line very well. I have always use by dryads for flanking whatever the Saurus warriors are fighting or to support skinks. I use Glade Riders for flanking war machines as the Lizardmen don't have a move greater then 7. I use my glade guard to shoot large targets and wear down anybody who is looking to attack the saurus. My hero is usually on his own but working in conjunction with his hero or I protect his Mage Priests.
You and your allies different fighting styles will aid you greatly in a battle against 2 bruisers.
If the Oppenent has a giant try and kill that first, belaive me I own both armies and giants are nothing but trouble.
often with ogres (or at least in my case) Break the genral and the rest of the army usally follows, but I think thats just me
as said in a previous post Ogres absolutly hate poison so work that to your advantage
Also keep an eye on the oppenent's Hunters and spear chukkas (if applicable) because they are good a breaking ranks
and finally good luck make them Orcs run like the yellow bellied snotlings they are (any orks players here, I'm not being serious) and make them useless overpriced fatboys run like the cowards ( simulary any Ogre players, Joke no offense intended)
I would advise against treekin in that battle, lotsandlotsandlots of archers should do the trick (e.g 50-60!!!) The treekin will fall apart against the large units of ogres that all too many ogre kingdom players have. Any large blocks of infantry (e.g eternal guard) will most likely get smashed apart as soon as they get into combat with any half-decent orc infantry.
Maybe a Noble with Scout kindred and hail of doom arrow will do quite well against the ogres, methinks its on average 2 ogres dead!
Archers are the answer, shoot all their fast things first, OK and O&G dont have many flying things I think.
Unless they Have one massed unit of 16 bulls (4*4) they won't have thw rank bonus, so if you have infantry make that rank bonus count so in away infantry could be good
First, thank you all for your advise, it payed up for a bit. The outcome was a draw in favour of my friend and me (284 VP more than our adverserseries). i must say one thing. I hate leadbelchers, those guys blew away my waywatchers 9after that they fled for a carnosaur and were caught:shifty: )
But i was great, i recomand playing an alliance game with some friends it is really graet fun.
