Welcome to Librarium Online!
hey guys, im new to warhammer, and i thought the WE were pretty cool so they are my first army. im playing against my friends who have High elves, tomb kings, dark elves, and chaos, so you see im going up against some pretty tuff armies,
my question is what should i get, casue i feel in order to win i need some things that can pack a punch.
i already have
16 glade guard, 8 glade riders,
and 24 dryads. i like them alot, they do a pretty good work for me in small battles
but what else should i get, im debating on,
2 units of 3 tree kin
a unit of wardancers, they seem tuff to play with tho
and i have 2 warhawk riders, but might use them as noblles, or should i get one more and make them a unit to go after my freinds bolt thorwers,\
thanks alot guys
Well it really comes down to taste... personally I love the Treekin and the Treeman... They are both very tough and can pack quite a punch... but Wardancers and Wild Riders are good to... a bit more fragilie... but they are much more mobile...
ya tree kin look good with 3 wounds, and seem like they can stay in battle for awhile, as long as they dont play with fire.
so maybee looking at this
1 unit 3 tree kin
1 unit 3 tree kin
1 unit 10 wardancer, maybee 6 with wardancer lord and annoyance of netlings
and 1 treeman.
what you think
From another point of view:
I'm not a big fan of expensive units, or units with really high points per model.
A few more glade-gaurd to use as scouts
Another unit of Glade Riders to keep the flanks symetical and add even more speed to the army
Some Wild Riders to back up any charges with a fear-causing fast cav unit
1 or 2 units of Waywatchers. These guys are amazing if you get them behind enemy lines and get some free shots at the general.
If you don't have archers, get them!
This will give you an army that can force an enemy to come towards you with shooting, and then let you rush around and flank them with your cavalry. Deploy Dryads in little units of 8 so that you have three units. Once your enemy is sucked in, start high-tailing it with your Glade-guard so that you can keep up the firing. The Dryads engage the fronts of units and the Glade Riders and the Wild Riders smash into their flanks and (hopefully) cause them to flee.
You're looking at about $110 worth of new stuff for an army that will probably end up near 1,500 or 2,000 pts. Pretty good deal.
