Welcome to Librarium Online!
I have just bought the Warhammer Fantasy Rulebook, Wood Elf Army Book, and the Wood Elf Batallion Boxed Set. The only problem is that I am unsure of the type of WE army I will play. I am leaning towards a Waywatcher army build. If anyone could give advice on a Waywatcher stuffed army of 500-1000 points. I would appreciate any feedback as well as any provided army lists.

As for your question, for now you'll need to build your army around what's in that battalion box.
It comes with 24 Glade Guard, 8 Glade Riders, and 12 Dryads.
It'd be nice if they'd thrown in one more Glade Guard so that you could have two units of 10 archers and one unit of scouts.
What you buy next depends on what kind of army you want to run. I'd suggest you go ahead and Get a Branchwraith and a Noble to add heroes and then decide if you want more Dryads or to round out your scouts, or maybe get a cool unit like Wardancers or Wild Riders.
You'll definitely want one of the flying units. Warhawks riders are costly but they play really well; eagles are cheap for what they do. If you want a flyer and can fill out a rare choice inexpensively, go for the eagle.
The big decision comes down to whether want a more traditional elf army that has eternal guard as an infantry base, supported by either Treekin or a Treemanm, and of course archers; or do you want a more mobile army that incorporates no Eternal Guard but relies on archers, Dryads, Wardancers, and Wild Riders doing most of the killing.
You'll also have to decide about magic. That's tough in a WE army and I haven't figured out how I can best play it so far.
well chap, welcome aboard!
about the army you said you want a waywatcher like army, you can acompolish this in a 1000 points battle quite easily.
get a waywatcher noble, a unit of dryads for CC power (in the end you will need it and dryads kick ass:yes: ) a unit of normal GG so you can get scouts (you could call them waywatchers to be) and get as rare a nce unit of waywatchers.
you will have a nice solid base. things you could include later are (if you are going for a entire skirmish army) a unit of wardancers and or warhawkriders/glade riders as a fast reaction force (you will then have used the entire battalion box)
hope it helps, and don't be afraid to keep asking!
as stated above add some more regular glade guard to your battalion, and a unit of waywatchers, which are a brilliant unit I have to say. Some dyrads and wardancers would be a great back bone to build on so that they can pick of the units you archery weakens. At one thousand points you can hide them behind the enemy and harass the hell out of them! Especially if you play alot of warmachines and single characters waywatchers and scouts would be invaluble. I wish you luck with your new we army and welcome to the fourms!
I really appreciate everyone's help, and I just wanted you to know that I went to Games Workshop this weekend and bought some Movement Trays, and a Drycha Branchwraith. I just wanted to ask (specifically David) what sort of Noble I should buy for something like this. Again, I really appreciate the help.

do you mean miniature wise there is a waywatcher hero model (see my avatar)
you mean a rulewise noble then make him a waywatcherkindred and give him atl least the hail of doom arrow. this wil leave you with say enough points left to give your noble something extra, maybe a sword of might if you want to kill some wizards.:shifty:
hope it helps and if not then specify the sort of advice you need.
The Waywatcher lord works pretty well for a scouting character, a waywatcher character, and an alter. And it looks great when painted well.
If you want a fighty noble, the noble with great weapon works fine. Then there are nobles for wild riders and wardancers.
I guess I'd say the waywatcher or great weapon guy if you want one to fill certain rolls. I really geeked out when wood elves were released and have bought everything so far, even the special release models. I just have a problem with getting them painted.
Considering the models in your battalion box, then yeah, I'd go with elfwarden's advice and use the waywatcher model. But it's not a must by any means.
Thanks David, I will probably buy that model next then. The WE Batallion, Super Glue, and Clippers I bought off of an Online Ebay Store haven't arrived yet. Although, once it gets here I will be ready for play. Like I said, I appreciate the help from everyone and for being so nice to a LO n00b.
