I was just looking at some of The Woodland Realm models for LOTR and had a thought. Could you use some of the models from LOTR as Wood Elves. Is there a rule against doing that kind of thing?!?!?
i heard it's fine as long as you aren't playing in official tournaments(i think it's because they take pictures and such). Make sure the bases are the same size
Based on copyright issues you can not mix any models/bitz from the LotR line in a Warhammer/40K game. While I know most people I play with will never say anything if you go in a GW they will throw a hissy-fit.
Also to be fair to the people I play with there are several people who armies consist of GW base with small tooth pick flags with letters written on them that they use to represent a unit. We know it is goofy but some people don't have any enough money to buy more then one unit per month if not 2 or 3 depending on actual cost.
