Thought I would open up this topic for discussion. I have only ever had to do something like this once. I had to defend a castle with 1000 pts against an attacker with 3000. My dryads on the walls cleaned up pretty easily.
I am just wondering about other peoples siege experience. Either on the offense or defense.
I haven't played much (not as WE) but seeing as attackers would be the hardest for WEs, I would probably go Great Eagles and tons of units Tree Singers. Anything to get close, and for the most part unscythed. Plus that item that would let appear inside a another woods would be nice, if you move woods inside the castle.

There was a battle report in UK White Dwarf about this a couple of months ago. Massive Dark Elf army assaulting a fortress defended by Bretonnians. Wood Elves appeared as a kind of reserve force a turn or so into the game. Can't remember much of it but it may shed some light on things if you can get hold of it.

I think 1000 vs 3000 is a little too one-sided. Being the defender has its advantages, but not enough to warrent a 2000 point handicap.
