No. The BRB is clear that characters on flying mounts can not join other flying units.1. If i mount a Highborn on a Great Eagle can he join a group of warhawk riders?Invalid question. See #1.2. If indeed he can join the unit can it still be a unit of 3 (2 warhawk riders, and the highborn on a GE)?
But instead imagine that you put him on an elven steed and intend to run him as a wild rider highborn. Even in this case, you'd still need 5 wild riders to form the basic unit. He'd make a sixth model by necessity.No. Only characters with the entry wizard in their description or some other explicity stated ability.3. Can any unit that can carry magical items carry a dispell scroll?
some more questions i have. i tried to erase my first post, but couldn't figure out how, cause right before you responded, i answered those questions myself and am sorry for wasting your time. on with the questions...
1. what exactly does the regeneration ability do?
2. if i were to mount my high born a fly him around with a unit of war hawk riders is that feasible as good attack force, or is it too hard to keep them together?
thanks again, and wow what a quick response look forward to posting my army soon as i work out the last few kinks.
Warhawks go up in a puff of feathers when they escort a highborn onto the battlefield, but it's better them than him. At the very least, take another Great Eagle to distract the enemy. When your general soars out 20 inches onto the battlefield and launches 4 or 5 shooting attacks that ignore armor saves, your opponent starts to take notice.
Suddenly, your general wonders if he made a mistake and should have stayed closer to his troops.
So yes, if you want a flying general, I'd say take some warhawks. Even with an escort, be wary of pushing all your flyers out too far too soon. They tend to take wounds easily.
