howdy well im starting a camaign this summer and its gonna be a bit tricky. we have a dawrf, empire, lizard man, dark elf, a second wood elf player, and high elf player who makes his entire army stubborn or unbreakable. we also have a new player that uses tomb kings.
i have quite alot of experience playing the others but i know little of the tomb kings. i was wondering if anyone has had any experience playing tomb kings and can let me know what to expect/look out for.
Well, you know they're unbreakable and dead skeletons can be resurrected (though new ones can not be created as they are with VC).
You don't want to get into a protracted combat with a big block of tomb guard or even regular skeletons if you can help it.
You need flank and rear charges to take away rank bonuses and make him eat more wounds. Dryads and wardancers should carve through skellies.
Watch out for tomb scorpions. Their attacks are magical and will hurt your forest spirits in a hurry.
TKs have very good magic. They can't miscast. In fact they don't roll to cast a spell. They simply roll one or two dice to see at what power their magic goes off. Their magic will do things like give an undead unit free movement (watch out for this being used on flyers...it equates to 40" in a turn). They can give a skellie a unit a free round of attacks/shooting. Some players use the spell to fire their catapults additional turns. Last, they can use spells to resurrect troops. Then they have lots of arcane items to make things worse.
It can be a tough battle. You need to hit hard and hit from all sides and win combat quickly.
I've got quite a lot of experience of pasting Tomb Kings, so check out THIS (2000pts wood elves (help against tomb kings)) thread for some tips.
Hope that helps. Keep on truckin' .

Somewhat off topic, but how does the High Elf player make his entire army Stubborn/Unbreakable?
