    1500 friendly list vs. Necrons/'Nids

Hey everyone. I'm moving to Eugene, Oregon soon and I recently took a trip there and found a sweet 40k shop. I met a guy who plays necrons and 'nids and I will definitely be calling him up for a game after I move. Anyway, I came up with a couple of aspect-heavy lists that I think would show him a good time (I don't think he has ever played against eldar before) but wouldn't be too rough.

I am mainly having trouble deciding whether or not I should switch out the scorpions for some hawks, as you will see in the differences between the two lists.

Ew no to swooping hawks. You will find no use for them against either nids or toasters, unless u are haywiring his monolith. But honestly you should be focusing on his warriors and phasing him out anyway not attacking his monolith. I play crons alot and as a eldar player let me tell u that pathfinders are pricesless. They always kill thier points back and then some. Not too familliar with nids but ill tell u that ur list will need ALOT of scatterlasers and try to stay out of CC Probably want another squad of dire avengers for the nids and to drop the scorpions. your first list is good for crons but i dont know much about vibrocannons. But if u want it to tangle with nids id go with no scorps, no vibrocannons, another squad of avengers and a full squad of walkers with scatter lasers.

P.S. I too am from oregon and would like to welcome u to our quiet, green state. I actually go down to eugene often you shoud message me directions to this shop so that we might be able to play a game some time. hope this helped:yes:

Hawks can kill a monolith though. And they are pretty good for taking out genestealers before they hit you hard.
Nids generally won't be able to catch your hawks. Scorpions also have a habit of getting charged by swarms of hormagaunts, despite this they are pretty good for them though.

Oddly enough dark reapers are brilliant for both those races, carnifex's and hive tyrants have a habit of dying to them, as do genestealers. Necron destroyers and immortals can be killed by them, and if you get them all they don't get WBB.

I would say go for the 1st list with the following changes:

    Drop all vectored engines
    Drop the fire dragons
    Drop 1 vibro-cannon
    Drop 1 pathfinder

Buy as many hawks as you can for that (with exarch). If you want consider using a mind war farseer without a bike (put him in one of the serpents). Or dropping another vibrocannon.

Also D-cannons are incredible against necrons.

ewe, ok you are gifting necrons a fair amoutn of points here, he will take out eldar vehicles with impunity, theyare complete swine for everyone else to kill but dead easy for crons, I would rething the wole thing wwithout the uise of serpents or falcons
Everything you have been told is a lie!
