not sure if i should add some steelers or ravs or more synapse and advice would be appriciated
it doesn't matter for you here, but since your playing under 1500pts the carnifexes need to be heavy support. Something I might suggest would be to swap out one Carnifex for a 3-man Warrior brood with devourers. Although it won't be quite as sturdy a few more wounds, attacks, and additional synapse coverage you should like.
I would look to add some raveners if your going up against a lot of high Toughness and low Save enemies. It would take a lot of augmentation to your army to fit any rending units in though.
Doesn't look bad and one synapse isn't a problem I just like having a little bit of a back-up plan when my tyrant has to absorb all the enemy fire.
In that small a game, drop the hormagaunts and replace them with spinegaunts. They accomplish the same effect more or less, and your opponent won't be able to deal with them.
The winged tyrant is nice, though I don't know if you need warp field. As long as you're careful where you place him he shouldnt't take much fire.
ET points out clearly that the Carnifex is illegal as an elite, it must be heavy support unless you are at 1,500 or more points.
I think I'd take off the bonded exoskeleton also.
If I remember my points correctly taht should save you close to 120 points (dropping the hormies for spineys, dropping the bonded exoskeleton, dropping the warpfield).
Buy a couple or up to three raveners if you can manage it, and spread your spiengaunts out into multiple squads. Having 15 in one squad is a waste compared to 8 and 8 (16 total there ofc). More targets, fleet redundancy, fire splitting and tie-up splitting, etc.
Use raveners as single units and keep them out of line of sight completely until they are within ~20" so they can single turn charge from no-LOS.
You can also probably drop wings off the tyrant in theory, and just move him and the elite fex up together carefully hosing down things in range ... it's really a matter of how comfy you are with your skill as a player ... if you're newer, use the wings as they afford you 6" more room to get safe.
