    RTT Codex Orks 2000

    Hello!

I have been playtesting this list for an RTT run by GW here in Georgia.

I could still use some help. What do you think?

    HQ
    1-Warlord Skargob "Nid Killa" Grimsnikk
Mega Armour, Cybork Body, Big Horns
    5-Nobz
    Mega Armour
    1-Wartrukk
Rokkit, Grot Riggers, Red Paint Job

    Elites
    10-Stormboyz
    Nob
    Power Claw, Choppa, Big Horns

    Troops
    20-Slugga Boyz
    3-Rokkits

    20-Slugga Boyz
    3-Rokkits

    20-Slugga Boyz
    3-Rokkits

    10-Tankbustas
    3-Rokkits
    Nob
    Rokkit, Big Horns

    10-Gretchin
    Slaver
    Rokkit, Squighound

    10-Gretchin
    Slaver
    Rokkit, Squighound

    Fast Attack
    10-Trukk Boyz
    Burna
    Nob
    Power Claw, Big Horns
    1-Wartrukk
Rokkit, Grot Riggers, Red Paint Job

    10-Trukk Boyz
    Burna
    Nob
    Power Claw, Big Horns
    1-Wartrukk
Rokkit, Grot Riggers, Red Paint Job

    2-Buggies-84pts
    2-TL Rokkits
    2-Grot Riggers

    Heavy Support
    1-Basilisk
    Indirect Fire
    Grot Riggers

    Well thats exactly 2000pts.

The plan with this army is to have a strong center push and strong flanking force. Fire is divided or focused on one or the other, either way the boyz get across the board to chop um up.

Do you think it will hold up.

I have had the most trouble with mech tau, monolith heavy (2-3) necron armies, and Godzilla Shooty Nids.

Lookin for help from da bosses

Looks good an strong to me, lots of rokkits, fast attack boyz, gretchin and of course a basilisk. Those armies your up against look pretty dangerous really, each one has an advantage over the current orks, I'd say do your best with this list until the new one comes out (January i've heard, best christmas present ever).

Anyway nice list, the rokkits should be useful against those armies you mentioned.
    Total 40k: >5000pts
    total WFB: ~2000pts
I also enjoy good music, fine food, late night strolls on the beach and dancing in moonkin form :)

I can see why Shooty nids would be hard for you to kill. I don't think rockets would be as effective as a nob with a power claw. Even still it would be a close match. Power claw can also break open a monlith just as well as a rocket, probably even better. Without that nob the squad doesn't seem so intimidating, get what I mean?

Only suggestion i have is running the 2 buggies in seperate slots to add some versatility. Personally, i'd prefer to have the Klaw/Choppas combo on the Nob/Warboss instead of Mega armor. I'd give them Eavy armor instead of Mega, and consider bionic bonce. That way you can sweeping advance instead of just consolidate. There will be times you'll want to roll to waaagh and use your choppas, or even mix and match on a round using some choppas/klaws.

What I would do, is I would combine your 2 grotz to make it one squad of 20. So they don't break and run as easly.

And for the Heavy Support, I would take out the Basilisk and add in some Killa Kanz with Big shootas.

And this is just an idea. But get rid of your Tankbustas(because you have enough PK and rokkits imo). And add a squad of burna boyz. And give the mek kustom force feild. So your boyz that aren't covered by grots, will still have a 5+ cover save.
