Looks like a lot of upgrades you have in that list.
I would think twice about taking them all. Try to think of the purpose for the model/unit, and tool them up accordingly.
You will find that by having less upgrades, you will open up a lot more points for other models.
Im not really all that keen on combining a ranged weapon with a pair of scything talons on a model. You will only ever be able to use one at a time.
Besides that, not a bad list.
Chaos - 11W 0L 0D
Orks - 8W 0L 0D
Tyranids - 8W 0L 0D
My goal with the fex(s) is to get it up into CC. I love getting them into CC! I want them to be able to do something on the way up though and I love the idea of tooling them up enough that they are bolter proof AND lascannon/krak missle only wound 66% of the time instead of 83% of the time. Once they get into CC...mwahahaha. I got a good taste of 'fex goodness yesterday. Several large tanks took a 'monstrous creature style' whoopin.
I am excited to give this list a shot. I want see what it is like to lay down 30-60 shots with living ammunition...
If your going to use a walking tyrant i preferr using a VC and twin linked devorer sacs and ES SoW with two guards. Get riid of the talons and the implant attack. Reomove the upgrades on your hormogaunts its just a waste of points. You want them cheap and fast to tie up enemy units. Make termagunts spine guants saves points and dose the same thing. Get rid of talons on steelers for carapace talons makes them too expensive especially if bolters and insta kill and entire squad before they get to cc. I like the warriors. Make the fexs into your anti tank cause ull def need it especially at 1750. I usually run VC and BS, ES, and bonded exoskeleton. Fexs are too slow too help with cc so use them to slow march towards close objectives and to rape vehicles. Hope this helps if you have left over points consider ravs or lictors.
Lots of good things said above. Keep the swarm cheap, yet survivable. One massive ommision tho: You have only taken 5 troop units! Sacrilege! More units = more targets = diluted incoming fire. Always always always fill all the troop slots. If you can throw in more Spines or Stealers by downgrading the enhancments, great. If not, split the two large Gaunt units into 3.
Nothing to see here, please move along.
I agree with almost all said above. Just are you really sure that those carnifexes are worth it? Yes, if they get into cc then sure they destroy most tanks around. However, they can destroy most tanks around anyway with just a venom cannon and barbed strangler. give them all shooty upgrades and the extra toughness and they still kill most vehicles. Then you should split up the gaunts into 3 hordes of 20 and use the extra points from the fexes+hormagaunt+hivetyrant and use it for 1: more synapse 1: ravs or lictors and 3: Zoanthropes. All would play out well with your list.
this all depends on what is working for you though. play your list and if it works great. If it doesn't then change it a little bit at a time.
hoped this helped!
