    2000 Tourny

This is a tourny list designed to win and crush the opponent. Cheese is good, power is good. If you have any advice to make this more destructive, please feel free to comment and do whatever. I am also open to mounting my elites in wave serpants.

    HQ-
    Autarch 92
    Mandiblasters
    P. Wep
    Avenger Cat

These sqauds are to soften up squads for my elites and grab objectives.

I really love these. They are fun to play with and can harass the opponent from the safety of 2+ cover saves.

    Elites
    10 Banshees 187
    Exarch
Either Execution or Mirrorswords, which is better?
One of the powers - Can't decide which is more useful.
These walk across the board with the scorps using cover.

    6 Firedragons xx
    These ride in a falcon.

    10 Scorpions 192
    Exarch
    Claw
    Stalker
These walk using cover. Debating switching for Harlies.

    Fast-
    70
    Vyper
    Starcannon
Harasses heavy infantry, and can grab objectives if need be.

    Heavy-
    Falcon 205
    Starcannon
    Vectored
    Holo-fields
    Spirit Stones

    Falcon 205
    Starcannon
    Vectored
    Holo-fields
    Spirit Stones
The dragons ride in one of these, while the other harasses enemies and grabs objectives.

    5 Dark Reapers xxx
I play mostly marines so this will hurt. While being guided, they should rarely miss.

    Total- 2006
    58 Bodies
    5 Skimmers

I am debating on dropping vectored engines from the serpants to free up some points.

    What do you think?

    -J

EDIT-- Falcon prices up to where they should be, vectored engines dropped on ws's. Will post new list when made. Sorry about my bad math, no calculater+2AM=bad results....

    I'm back.

Well, the optimum eldar cheesy tournament army is something like three falcons with a bunch of minimized avenger wave serpents. It's impossible to kill all of them.

Not the most bang for your buck. Maybe a jetbike farseer with something?

Your reapers are going to be really far back in your deployment line, negating doom usage most of the time.

These are fine, but I'm not a fan of vectored engines.

If you're going for VP denial, I guess these are fine.

Either mount them up or drop them entirely. They are VPs for your opponent on foot.

Not a fan, but that's just a personal bias.

Get shadowstrike, you need to infiltrate these guys.

Unless your going for terminators, get a vyper with a scatter laser and shurikan cannon.

    That's a lot more than 180 points...

As before, referencing both the dragons and the falcon comments.

An exarch with EML and fast shot would be nice.

I don't know what all the tournament armies to beat are.

But I'd be willing to bet that there are going to be plenty of Nidzilla and drop pod marines. If you can't mop up on those forces you aren't going to do well.

Hence I'm not overly impressed with scorps anymore as they aren't so hot against those forces.

Same with dark reapers. Their range isn't so important when the SM player will be dropping his squad within 12" of them. At that point they are just 217pts of stuff that will all die to the initial special weapon+rapid fire bolter fire.

Generally I would say mount everything and max your falcons/prisms. Those units do well because you're fielding more of them than your opponent can deal with. They can only field so many venom cannons/ass cannons. You want to overload them. I would suggest having nothing on the ground.

Around here there are no drop pod armies or nidzilla lists. Mostly a lot of basic marines lists that shoot or assault. A few necron players, and some tau. At most tourny's there is a dark eldar player, and perhaps a GK player.
