    2000 pt necron

    This is my hopeful 2000 point as long as christmas goes well. I dont have the imortals or the heavy destroyers yet but i'm getting them soon.

    Generally the list looks pretty good. Id say you will be better of splitting the Heavy des into 2 units though. Maybe have 2 units each of a single HD, then using the points from the 3rd one you drop, add 2 Immortals to the list, creating 2 Imm units of 6.

    Add one more unit of wraiths as a support for ur lord as the 3 u have are not enough. I am planning to make a des lord with 2 units of 3 wraiths each going with him.

    A 2nd unit of wraiths would either cut into the scarabs (but scarabs are so useful) or the destroyers (but destroyers are so killy). That's a choice I wouldn't dare put on you by giving my own opinion on the matter.

    Something to consider though is that if You are not planning on going up against much 2+, drop the heavy destroyers for some more immortals. You know the saying with necrons: "2 squads are better than one". Not only does this make your phalanx scarier, but it also makes their WBB safer. That and since you haven't bought the heavy destroyers, you can make that change before hitting the store.

    Well in my opinion if is to make the lord going on fast assault definately needs some wraiths more. Scarabs are nice..is true...but in the way he wants his lord advancing the battlefied dont think will help much. This of course is purely my opinion...

    The scarabs are just gonna be a couple of time deals because my friends have not learned about the disruptor feild so im hoping to send my scarabs with the wraith/lord unit then split of for a tank cause they be expecting me to use them to hold up an expensive unit. i would like more wraiths though so after this plan starts to fail i'll prububly start pulling in some more wraiths. thanks for the advice on the wraiths though. also about the two units of destroyers they wouldnt be able to WWB right unless ii spent points on a spider?

    If you have 2 Destroyer units and one get completely wiped out, then they can make WBB rolls if the downed ones are within 6" of the still alive unit, joining that unit if they pass. A Spyder purely increases the distance restrictions for similiar unit types.

    So keep the two H. destroyers within 6" so if one dies and gets wwb he still lives? that would cut down on moneys. and although i have never used immortals i have heard good things about them them. seeing as there just warriors with better toughness stronger weapons with better AP.

    Immortals are awesome. They are easily the most powerful unit in the Necron army (though it's argueable Destroyers are too). Definitely field them.
