The lack of raider squads and the preponderance of small sniper squads makes me cry....

But I know it works and to each his own. I'm just surprised that there aren't more jetbikes around the Archon. It's kinda expensive, but just a couple more bodies can make a whole lot of difference. I always surround my jetbike Archon with a bodyguard of a min-jetbike unit.

2 be honest, i favor the raider squad over warriors... but your list would seem to do GREAT again horde lists like Nids and orks... but im not sure how well it would fare against say another long range list like a say chaos list. u have the ravagers but im not sure how long theyd last? but this is only 1000pts so i guess no worries?

i guess what im getting at is the lack of close combat MIGHT be a downfall but usually in lower point games no1 hase significant units...

So i til my hat to you cause this list seems like it would do JUST fine!;Y

Two comments on this: This is a LOT of points for a guy who has no support. I suggest dropping the bike and a single wych and putting him in the wych squad. Second, he is an illegal unit. You aren't allowed to have more then 100pts of wargear on a single model (you have 112).

    Wyches Squad: 220 points
    • 10 Wyches wych weapons
    • Wych Succubus, Agoniser, plasma grenades
    • Raider, disintegrator

    Warp Beasts Pack: 63 points
    • 4 Warp Beasts
    • Beastmaster

    Warrior Squad: 100 points
    • 10 Warriors, 2 Dark Lances

    Warrior Squad: 100 points
    • 10 Warriors, 2 Dark Lances

    Warrior Squad: 105 points
    • 10 Warriors, 2 Splinter cannon, blaster

    Ravager: 120 points
    • ravager 3 disintegrators

    Ravager: 120 points
    • ravager 3 disintegrators
The rest of this looks fine although the third warrior squad with two cannons and a blaster are a bit odd. Odds on your warriors will never make it in to 12" blaster range with even most of them intact unless you go against another assault army (in which case the squad gets chewed up). For that unit, I suggest dropping it down to a 5 man raider squad with a cannon and blaster and leave the raider with a dark lance.

The list looks fine (with the exception of the illegal lord) but its main issue is that it has no mobility and a LOT of warriors. Your wins will be heavily relying on proper terrain building to make sure you have good firing lanes for all those shooty squads and still have good cover for your raider to reach the other side.

That said, Nids might as well go home and cry at your list =p

Naw, its legal. Agonisers are considered "weapons", not "wargear" - I believe he still has 8 points left to buy wargear. I personally do not like agonisers on bike lords but its not a bad idea.

I was under the impression that anything you pick from the war-gear page (ie, things that don't come standard with the unit) counts towards that total.

That's fine if you want to play it that way but the arguement that the "Wargear" limit is binding to the "Wargear" list is pretty simple. I am a minimalist at heart so don't get me wrong but this appears to me as a "slam-dunk" - weapons are weapons, not wargear.

Are we saying that the Agoniser is not Wargear because its included as such in the double page spread thats titled "Dark Eldar Wargear."

Not that this really bothers me much.

    Cheers.
