Welcome to Librarium Online!
what's up? I have a newly made Saim-Hann list (since bikes are great) and I'm looking for suggestions as to how I can finish it.
HQ: 1: Autarch (120) with mandis, wings, power weapon and a fusion gun (quite flexi no?)
2: Farseer (193) with jetbike, witnessing, spear, spirit stones. powers of doom, guide and fortune (again quite flexi)
TROOPS: 3 jetbike squads (402) 3 jetbikers per squad, one shuriken cannon and warlock with spear and destructor. (burn those nasty dark eldar squads out of their cover, but can hurt a tank in the rear)
FAST ATTACK: (yay!) 1: shining spears x3 (142) with exarch, shuriken cannon and skilled rider (the idea is that these boys get fortune, bomb up the table and take care of those damn crisis battlesuits by hitting them with a star lance and giving them cholera. sorted!)
2: swooping hawks x6 (173) with exarch, sunrifle, skyleap and intercept. (these lads come on with the Autarch on a tasty 3+, and go their separate ways unless they need to go to combat, pin a unit with that delicious sunrifle and if they get bored they can always deep strike in with another grenade pack)
3: 2 vypers (160) with shuriken cannons and starcannons. (bit risky making them so expensive but I need some terminator hunters, and plus you'll see in a minute that the opponent has more to worry about, so he probably won't shoot them first)
HEAVY SUPPORT: fire prisms x2 (250) with spirit stones. (I thought this unit was nice and cheap myself for BS4 and boy can they shoot pretty much anything and kill it, especially if the target has a thorax. also I needed something that could take out transports without entering rapid fire range. so one can shoot a transport and then I can burn what's left)
I'm not sure what else to put in (or take out) without making things overvalued, I could up the shining spears but they would be free points then. any suggestions welcome. veteran saim-hann players do your worst!

Autarch: Flexible but not very good for the points. Drop him or give him a bike and lance.
Farseer: Cut the runes maybe and take only 2 powers (Drop guide).
Spears: Max out the numbers and take the Hit & Run power.
Hawks: Sadly they are not worth the points IMHO so I would swap them for another 5 shining spears.
Troops: I usually use the embolden power instead but if you need the heavy flamers and can risk the morale tests then fine.
Vipers: Fine. 2xShuriken cannon is certainly cheaper and more usual. The starcannon probably isn't worth the extra 20 points.
Fire Prisms: take holofields definatly.

pretty much waht madcat said (rep mate)
Everything you have been told is a lie!
cheers, lads. if all doesn't go well with the original I'll certainly give these suggestions a try
Mad cat has it down though I would give your farseer runes of warding. With the new chaos codex they have become a must.
Primary Army: Tyranids; Secondary Army: Space Wolves

That's true enough but I think witnessing is better. not only that but I never come across that many Chaos players, let alone those smart enough to utilise those delicious psychic powers. after daemons get redone then perhaps we may see a cool new breed of Chaos players. but until then they are still a VAST minority and I don't think they are worth taking runes to prevent it just yet.
also I mixed it up a bit: the vypers made cheaper on account of theier armour 10, 4 shuriken cannons instead of 2 with 2 starcannons, and I maxed out the shining spears. but I still refuse to give them withdraw. 5 of them is enough to kill whatever they charge, and if it isn't enough, then that's because the other guy has ten terminators or a primarch, both highly unlikely.
Cheredanine (interesting name) do you have any suggestions as to how I can get a farseer/warlock model onto a jetbike, it's been bugging me a bit. also that army or half army looks delicious.
the conversion is simple enough, you take the right warlock (or farseer) cut him in half and add the jetbike legs, then GS the cloak back, it is covered quite well on the GW US site, and is I believe stickied at the top of the eldar forum (the parent to this forum)

well I think you can understand how I'd rather not trust the Yanks but yeah I'll give it a go. cheers boy.
