I'm just wondering, if I took 20 scarab swarms into battle, would it be better if I split them into 4 squads of 5 or 2 squads of 2?
This should go under the standard necron section not the "Army lists"
And you can't have 4 squads of 5, they're a fast attack choice and some jerk decided necrons don't get more then everyone else. I'd say 2 squads of 10 anyways, scarabs are something i generally use as a speed-bump BUT they are pretty nasty in large numbers (that's 30 wounds and 40 attacks on a charge, not something to be scoffed at)
Oh theres a regular Necron section? Oops...my mistake
Dont worry about reposting, a mod will be able to move it soon. Its just supposed to be in the Necron forum, and not Necron Army Lists.
As for the Question, id say two units would be nicer, large ones, 6-10. However id look at prioritising Destroyers and Wraiths in some cases, so sometimes you may only get to use one unit.
Scarabs should be out second Core choice, along with a Flayed One statline fighter as the third. Would be nice, with both being 0-1 per Warrior unit taken.
Scarabs are best in large groups, so I'd say 2 groups of ten.
But remember to not rely on them because plasma and ordnance will whipe them off the board.
So... if I gave some daemons a matte paint-job, would they be "Matte Daemons?"
