This is my army, I have been using it for quite a while and it has been quite succesfull but I am looking for ways to improve its effectiveness against space marines

    HQ

    Avatar 155
Autarch- power weapon, fusion gun, mandiblaster 100

    Elites

6 Howling banshees- Exarch- Executioner 118
    Wave serpant- bright lances 135
    9Harlequins- Troupe master- power weapon
    - Death jester
    - 4 Harlequins kisses
    -2 fusion pistols 228

    Troops

10 dire avengers- Exarch- Dire sword, bladestorm 157
    5Rangers- pathfinders 120

    Fast attack

    Vyper- starcannon 70

    Heavy support

    4Dark reapers 140
    2War walkers - 2 brightlances, 2 missile launchers 160
    Fire prism 115

    Total 1498

If you have any tips on how I could improve this army (especially against space marines) please tell me

well, i think that you could do with adding more men it to your army because you seem to have gone quite elite and you lack numbers. Space marine are expensive in points so your best bet is to out number them with a good balance of numbers and specialists.

    Hi

    Avatar 155
like this HQ the avatar is excellent killing machine

Autarch- power weapon, fusion gun, mandiblaster 100

I'd exchange this guy for a farseer, aginst space marines his limeted strenght will have a real disadavnatge, a farseer along with guide and doom will be really effective against space marines when teamed up with the baldestrom of the dire avengers,

6 Howling banshees- Exarch- Executioner 118
    Wave serpant- bright lances 135

like this choice but if you can find some points give the exrch warshout and up the squad numbers as they can be quite easy to kill in small squads

    9Harlequins- Troupe master- power weapon
    - Death jester
    - 4 Harlequins kisses
    -2 fusion pistols 228
Love the choice lose the death jetser to save point

10 dire avengers- Exarch- Dire sword, bladestorm 157
    Big fAN OF DIRE AVENGERS

i THINK YOU should lose this expensive squad for another bladestorming dire avenger squad bulked up by losing the death jester, along with the farsser that unit you doomed is going to die.

    Vyper- starcannon 70

    fine

    4Dark reapers 140

    space marine killers!

    2War walkers - 2 brightlances, 2 missile launchers 160
    Fire prism 115
this is a bit ify i think the warwalkers are fine but i really don't like the one shot fire prism for anti tank, yeah its versitile and mobile but in can easily miss, for the same points mabye another walwalker with 2 shots and then some spare points to play with, maxing out on the howling bansees and the new dire avenger squad,

Of course you can completly ignore what i just said but im just trying to help, by the way ive got soulstrorm and the new orks codex from amazon and e-bay respectivley, hope it helps

I'd drop the Fusion pistols from the Harlequins, and swap the Death Jester for a shadowseer, to keep them safe from concentrated fire.

I think the optimum (at 1500 pts) is 2 fire prisms - for two reasons... The second prism twin links the first, gets the dispersed to AP3 large blast marine killer, or S10 AP1 penetrating on equal for tank killing. The second rason is that it splits anti-tank fire.

I would get points for the second fire prism by dropping the rather soft Warwalkers, and that should give enough extra points to mount holofields on the fire prisms. The fusion gun points can give them spirit stones. Eldar skimmer tanks are fairly thick armored, and the skimmer glance rule makes them sturdy - but a holofield makes them really annoyingly sturdy. If you have points left over, add nose Shuriken Cannons, 10 points for another MEQ kill a turn is cool.

    HQ

    [LEFT]Avatar 155
Autarch- power weapon, fusion gun, mandiblaster 100
not sold on the avatar completely but okish, hte autarch isnt giving you anything worthwhile, ditch him
    Elites

6 Howling banshees- Exarch- Executioner 118
    Wave serpant- bright lances 135
6 strong squads work in smaller battles but byt the time you reach this scale, large opponent squads will defeat them through attrition, you need to add more boddies, also the serpent needs spirit stones and vectored engines, otherwise the serpent is likely to get brought down well before it achieves anything
    9Harlequins- Troupe master- power weapon
    - Death jester
    - 4 Harlequins kisses
    -2 fusion pistols 228
as per wizwom, lose the DJ and the fusion pistols, add a shadow seer, if you are short of points the shadow seer is more important than the troup master
    Troops

10 dire avengers- Exarch- Dire sword, bladestorm 157
unless facing nidzilla armies, this is not the best kit load of the exarch, either dual cats or shimmer shield and defend (in both cases baldestorm)
    5Rangers- pathfinders 120
    not overly efficient but ok
    Fast attack

    Vyper- starcannon 70

    Heavy support

    4Dark reapers
reapers without exarchs are fine again in smaller battles, but in 1500 points would do better with exarch with tempest launcher and fast shot
    2War walkers - 2 brightlances, 2 missile launchers 160
would prefer the same weapon on all, is this a restriction of points or what was in the box?
    Fire prism 115
needs wargear, specifically spirit stones and holo field, and as Wizwom points out, would be better as a pair

Overall drop the walkers and the autarch, use the points to add another prism and upgrade the units
Everything you have been told is a lie!

hi (thats my title for everything)

cool like the new army, espically the new troops and heavy surport section, not sold on the shadowseer as you siad you were likeley to be playing space marines and they're only really useful aginst stand and shoot armies, instead bulk the dire avengers back to 10, pleased about the inclusion of a farseer, and a tempest laucher/ fast shot exarcg for the D.R's but a little worried about the flimsless of your A.T (warwalkers) and losing them as they are expensive models, all in all though a much inproved, harder-hitting army but still a few little improvements to be made in m y opion,

    Gilli

Great improvement on your last army list, the extra numbers will help a great deal against marines. Now you should play test the new army list, see if it works out.
