OK, this is the cheesy GT list I'm working on. the set up is simple, a hammerhead on each flank with one in the middle, same with the piranha's. the suit teams go on each flank or where ever the cover will let them hide, the Shas'el and his bodyguard will take up positions in the middle. the firewarriors will take any cover and provide covering fire, pick off units and drop light vehicles.

ive seen similar lists do really well so this is my attempt. let me know what you think, and any suggestions u may have.

I usually don't use body guards as I like to have an IC Commander. And you also only need one model with a HW-TL BTW.

I like the idea of these... might have to try the out. I think you can still get HW stuff with out being a 'vre so that should get ya so points if ya need them...

You don't need the Flatchette Discharger and the Disruption Pod on your Hammerheads. They should be flying around over 6" anyway... and where are your Burst Cannons?

Id drop the bodygaurd and throw him in the elites section. If you take a bodyguard, it means you can be shot at, instead, just have a Shas'El on his own, and rely on IC status to save you. Then you can get rid of the Target locks, and save some points. Other than that, your HQ is spot on, and my fave set up.

Swap this suit for a Death rain in the elites.

As its already been said, theres no need for Shasvre upgrades, just upgrade to team leader and youve got 10 points to spare. I use this exact setup in my Mech tau lists, and it works great. Hits hard, plus you can spread your fire around if you need to. Great set up.

Add the death rain suit in here for some good anti light/medium tank transport killing goodness.

I usually try to have a Shas'Ui and bonding knife in all my static firewarrior squads, it keep them around longer from incoming fire.

Dont usually use piranhas, im using my first one in a battle in a month. Run them down the flanks and pop some tanks, but be careful, they arent as durable as devilfishes or hammerheads. Id try to put decoys on these, id advise to put decoys on all tau vehicles, they are well worth the points.

Tcan is right, you dont really need the disruption pods or flechette dischargers. What secondary weapon system is on these tanks? Any at all? Id at least put burst cannons on there, im more in favour of the Smart Missile System, but if you dont have the points, burst cannons are a fine secondary system.

Here is a list id advise:
