I've recently seen a few grot only armies floating around so I decided to throw a list together (and make use of my 100+ night goblins floating around).
Big Mek w/ Shock Attack Gun and Power Klaw
10 Lootaz (x2)
28 Gretchinz; 2 Runtherd
20 Gretchinz; 2 Runtherd (x2)
Deffkopta w/ Big Bomms (x2)
3 Lobbaz (x2)
3 Kannonz w/ Runtherd
While I'm aware some of these models are not gretchin, they will however be modeled as gretchin (or multiple gretchin in the case of the lootas) holding the adequate weapon.
Drop the powerklaw off the big mek. If he's assaulted, he'll die long before he gets the chance to use it. It's just a waste of points.
Instead of running two units of gretchin, I'd run three, of 16 each. They'll be about as effective (not very, but that's the case with gretchin), and you'll only need 1 runtherd per squad.
There's no reason to keep the two deffkoptas together in one unit. They'll only die faster that way, as one dying will force a leadership save for the other, and if they're separated, they can't be targeted by the same unit at the same time.
Drop the big bombs. I've done the math, and it's statistically all but impossible for the bombs to do enough damage to pay for themselves. Field a third deffkopta instead, in a unit by itself. Personally, I prefer warbuggies, but it's up to you.
This is actually a fairly well balanced grott heavy list, otherwise. It's still going to have problems, but as you said, it's mainly for fun. Good luck!
