My friend just challenged me to win this up coming tourney at our store with a tau list and I'm determined to do so! Heres what I got so far:
2 Teams of 2 Crisis Suits
Twin Linked Missle Pod
6 Stealth Suits
2 Teams of 12 FW
Smart Missle System
8 Gun Drones
Path Finders 8
Smart Missle System
3 Rail Heads
That all leaves me at 1858 and I was wondering what you guys think would be the best, again it would be awesome if you could help me as fast as you could, the tourney is tommorow morning Please and thank you, you guys are all awesome!

It looks like a solid list, I can only suggest a couple tweaks. First off, I remember you need to buy the burst cannons for your Railheads--did you do that? (I don't have my Codex handy.)
I think the Pathfinders really need a Shas'ui for both morale and target priority purposes. Consider giving them two wargear gun drones as well; that way, they can lose a couple models without having to take a morale test. The best way to free up points for this would be to remove the smart missiles from the troops' Devilfishes; it looks like you want to use them for Fish of Fury instead of hide & shoot, anyway. That should take you to 1848 if I did the math right.
If you play as well as you listbuild then I think you'll do fine. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Personally I don't like the 2 team tl missilepods w/ target array. You don't have target locks, so you have 2 models shooting the same target, I think the target locks are a waste, put flamers or Blacksun filters to save points (24-2. 4 TL shots will do plenty without the TA in my opinion.
Fish of fury, I'd skip the SMS as well, for 40 more points, drones are great for free, and small 2 man teams are annoying and may get lucky pinning shots.
Also 3 railheads, not sure if you've tried out a skyray, but it may be a nice addition instead of a 3rd hammerhead, it's nice to have some diversity... or perhaps some sniper teams, you can get 2 of them for the price of a railhead and force more pinning tests, they're a great underestimated unit especially if you're using 2 railheads and those TL missilepod suits... I think you have more than enough to kill any vehicles on the table.
Just my 2cents. GL
Well I did alright in my games, I had 1 Loss, 1 Win and then 1 Draw.
The loss was against a 'Nid Zilla list with a Heirodule, seeing as that was my first time seeing such a model, I promptly pumped it full of love instead of focusing fire on other things, only bad point was that for as many high strength attacks I had, I didn't have enough high strength fire to take out thoes 4 wound models and It just didn't go so well since I had never played a 'Nid zilla list before.
My 2nd Game was a nice win against Chaos. I pumped all his transports and my skimmers got lucky against his melta fire. Overall a nice win and a very fun game.
The game I had the most fun in was the one against eldar. We played suicide squad and If I hadnt of forgotten my Jump back with one of my hq suits I would of denied his harlequins EVERYTHING. Sad part was my suicide squad was my stealth suits and they got tied in cc with 7 jetbikes and 2 warlocks, AND THE HELD FOR 3 TURNS and didn't die in the end. Rediculously funny game though.
Overall I didn't win, but I got best sportsmanship and everyones favorite to play so I didn't lose too bad. In 3 weeks we have a Fantasy RTT and I'll have my daemons up and running by then, keep posted to see if I do well then. :p Thanks again guys for your posts but I was only able to get the changes in that Intrepid suggested, and they saved my Pathfinders numerous times!
