10 scarab swarms
What do you think? I'm preparing to play nids with this army so any obvious tactics I should be aware of? I'm particularly worried around the flyrant + foot tyrant with tyrant guard.
Given synapse etc, i think the NightBringer may be the better anti Nid option. One of Decis abilities is disabled, and the NB has his Tempest and Gaze, great against the little bugs. Also he will be better in combat for killing the big bugs.
Id say drop some Warriors, just stick with 2 units of 10. Not sure how well the Wraiths will do, i think some Destroyers will do a better job. Then again you do have those Immortals. Posssibly split them into 2 units and add 2 to each unit? Spread the fire a bit.
I do agree that destroyers would serve much better than wraiths. And I'd also consider dropping the scarabs and a warrior squad for even more destroyers / immortals.
Basic plan should be... Destroyers / Immortals wreck any genestealers he's got ASAP, deceiver pins a gaunt squad (hormagaunt preferably), then goes over and kills the TMC's in combat. The only problem unit would be a flying hive tyrant with twin devourers. Really annoying unit - but the Deceiver can play "goalie" for him. He can't get too close without risk of getting assaulted (and the Deceiver will easily handle him in assault).
hmmm... ye, on second thought, the nightbringer does look better against tyranids.
The problem I have right now is that I've already got 2 wraiths. I would LOVE to include destroyers in my list but the wraiths are pretty much useless unless I get more.
i agree to the NB he is proven to be a good nid killer
but i think also u should put ur warriors in 2 squads, cause if (dont hope so) u get into CC with stealers or gaunts or something u do more dmg with 15 warrior then with 11 (just my thoughts)
furthermore it looks good,
good luck against the endless horde
