hey, this is my current army. I'd like to know what you all think. I don't know if I'll actually change it much do to low funds atm, but thanks for any input. I've had quite a bit of luck with it against marines and their equiv's. Not so much against dark eldar, but whatev, I have a lot of fun with it.
Immortals A (5)
Immortals B (5)
Warriors A (11)
Warriors B (11)
Warriors C (11)
Destroyers A (3)
Destroyers B (3)
Total: 2004, i can drop a disruption or 2 to get under 2k.
Kill 45 Necrons of 60 to Phase Out.
Thanks for any input.
thanks for the tip! what's your view behind the bunched immortals?
Lose the Dfields from the FOs, and drop the VoD (imo) is too risky and not that ace. Lith is far safer and more reliable Drop the second Lord.
Drop 3 Warriors and make each Imm unit 6 or 7 strong. Unless you have a DLord, swap out the Wraiths for Scarabs. Add in an extra Destroyer t each unit, and/or 2 units of 1 heavy Destroyer (looking forward to 5th)
More shots, and harder to wipe, having a 10-man immortal squad Veil over and unload 20 S5 AP4 gauss shots is devastating to just about everything in the game. It is easier to mass fire on than two squads, but immortals are pretty tough.
I do agree on the disruption fields for flayed ones I've never found them too spectacular.
alright I'll make that 10 immortals then for the veil, great tip, thanks.
I'd also drop the wraiths, you're not really accompanying them with a Dlord for great CC, so they'll only be 'decent and easy to deny WBB. I'd recommend a squad of scarabs with D fields. My list is alot like this except I keep ALL 10 of my immortals in one squad so I can veil them anywhere (and like stated before), they are just devastating with reach ALL over the board. 6 flayed ones will also be easier to deny WBB, so I'd go 8+ or keep them behind so when they engage in CC they're not alone.
My army list looks similar
14 warriors & Lord w/Orb
10 Immortals & Lord w/Orb & Veil
7 Scarabs w/DFields
1 Tomb Spyder
Comes to 1988 points

well, the reason i have the wraiths is becuase i almost always play on a heavy cover city board. so almost always they get in full strength. i know scarabs would be great for this, but to tell you the truth, i hate scarab models and i don't like the vibe they go with the army, thanks for the word.
Depending on what yer fighting wraiths may very well be a stronger choice, especially in that kinda terrain. If you're gonna be gon against squads with many power weapons or high S their invi save will protect them much more then the scarabs would be. The increase in strength means they're actually far more likely to do some damage of their own.
thanks alzer, and darktrainer i like your list quite a bit except that warrior squad of 13. Maybe you're not superstitious but I could never make a squad of 13. Too scared 1 pie plate would take them out or they roll ones every turn. You have balls.
