Hi to all! This is my first post at Librarium Online and this will be my first list since I partially left the hobby quite a few years ago (I am only playing BFG and Bloodbowl). So, please, be indulgent with my orkish ignorance and my irregular use of the English language, too... I am from Spain and it's been decades since my English classes at school
Ok, 'ere it goes:
Norghazk's Buttkickerz (155 pts)
20 boyz with shootas and 2 rokkit-launchaz, leaded by a nob (Norghazk) with bosspole
Grusk's Stompaz (155 pts)
20 boyz with shootas and 2 rokkit-launchaz, leaded by a nob (Grusk) with bosspole
I am actually wondering what to buy with the last 90 pts, I am considering some options, though
Enlighten me with your suggestions, please =)
gotta love the dakka (i play death skullz, ZuZu's Dakka 'Eads), i see no probelm with the 2 shoota boy squads and lootaz are always usefull. for the 90pts you could take 2 killa kans (i think), 6 more lootaz, or take a loota out (giving you 105pts extra) for a looted wagon with a boomgun. though the looted wagon is 11/11/10 and will be open top, in low points, one direct hit could devestate the other army.
and welcome to librarium online.

You can't take a looted wagon with a boomgun in combat patrol. No ordnance.
I'd cut out the lootas and add powerklaws to both units. You'll have a lot of trouble against marines and monstrous creatures without them. With the powerklaws, you only have 40 points left, so I'd actually spend them on more boyz, increasing both units to 23 orks each.
If you don't like that idea, I'd just stick with the lootas, although marines and monstrous creatures will be a major problem in that case. The only really viable solution is powerklaws.
Mm, the limit is 400 pts, so I'd have to put Killa Kans instead of Lootas. The thing is I like them both, but I dunno what would fit best for small games
And correct me if I am wrong but I understood that neither Monstruos Creatures nor 2+ saves were allowed in combat patrol, so I assumed that 4 rokkits would be enough to soften 'ard things for my boyz.
With what I've read around here I can see almost everyone considers power claw a must have for each nob that goes with the boyz, but I planned to use normal choppas for my 400pts patrol just to have 8 more shootas aorund. Will that be enough or should I really stick to Power Klaw?
combat patrol restrictions
no 2+ saves, no front+back+1 side is more than 33
ordanace is fine, so the boom gun would be pretty effective
as it can wipe small squads of marines easy
as for the PK, they are good, but not a necessity in combat patrol
due to the lack of mega units, a 'uge choppa may be usefull for
people with illogical armys (ie: wraithlord)
due to this same logic, that means people will be less tooled to kill
heavier things, so kans could be a good choice as many will struggle to kill
(i remember i once saw a (last ed) combat patrol of 5 boys & 8 kans...
that was just silly :3)

I thought you couldn't take ordnance in combat patrol. I've heard plenty of people say that anyway. Have the rules changed for 5th edition combat patrol?
Anyway, it's up to you whether you 'need' powerklaws or not. Without them, you'll have more points to spend on anti-infantry/armor, but you'll have trouble against 3+ saves without them. It's your choice.
Personally, I feel defenseless without the klaws.
ordanence was fine in 4th ed too, not really looked at much of my 5th
rule book short of the DE fluff & the core rules so i don't even know
if CP still exists ^^;
and in 5th ed it doesn't exist so you'd have to use the online rules,
which allow ordence : p
