    1000pt 5th Ed., casual

    HQ:
Hive Tyrant (200pts): 2x TL Devourers, Flesh Hooks, Warp Field, Wings, Toxin Sacs, Enhanced Senses

    Troops:
    16 Spinegaunts (80pts): Spinefists
    15 Spinegaunts (75pts): Spinefists
    15 Spinegaunts (75pts): Spinefists

    7 Genestealers (119pts): Flesh hooks

    8 Genestealers (136pts): Flesh hooks

    Heavy Support:
Carnifex (120pts): Barbed Strangler, Twin-linked Deathspitter

3 Zoanthropes (195pts): Warp Blast, Synapse

    Total: 1000pts

Revised yet again. Zoans are proving to be very much worth their points, and along with my new 'fex build, they're carrying most games. Flyrant changed from CC to Dakkadakka, with impressive results. Raveners replaced with genestealers since they weren't really performing as I had hoped. Will playtest and further revise.

you could switch out 1 gargoyle squad for your 8 hormagaunts w/ toxin sacs, this would give you another squad to go hold objectives. if you don't care about buying more stuff, you could switch out 1 gargoyle squad for 3 or so warriors and the raveners for 2 more sqauds of 12 spinegaunts... giving you more bugs and more to hold objectives. unless you think either of those changes seem better, what you have should work most armies.

Well, seeing as how you dont have any more models I can't suggest adding much...so...I say that your list looks good for the 5th ed.

However, I think that as a Nid army you need to spread out your troops more. I know it sounds bad to separate the gaunts but I think that you need more troops. So either buy one more box of gaunts and make them all spine gaunts, then adding them in, replacing the gargoyles, or seperating the squads of twelve into squads of 6 which gives you more coverage.

Besides that troop predicament I think you should get rid of the flesh hooks on the stealers and adding in that last one.

It looks very much like my list! Think about the troop problem and good luck!

If he still wanted to split them he could always do 3 squads of eight, still better coverage than two.

Either way, it looks good, and I like that 'Fex variant with the new Blast rules, nice job picking up on it!
