I'm hitting up a tournament Saturday, 1300 points, no special characters. Though playing for 10-12 years, this will be my first tournament. As such, if you folks could critique my list, I would be appreciative.
I don't know anything more about the tourney, aside from the fact that there will be at least some Space Marines, Tau, Witchunters, and more Marines. There is a 'nid player, Orc player, and Necrno player presence as well, and might be another Eldar player in there as well.
I have pretty much anything available, model-wise, so don't worry about that aspect.
Farseer, RoW, RoW, SStones, Doom, Fortune
Wraithguardx10, Warlock with (Embolden? Enhance? Conceal?)
DAx10, Exarch, Shimmershield & PW, Defend, Bladestorm
Bansheesx10, Exarch w/ Execution, Warshout & Acrobatic
Scorpsx10, Exarch w/ Claw, Stakler, Shadowstrike
I have 174 points left over. I was thinking of either a WL and Vibrocannon, or a unit of Guardians and a Vibrocannon. I could fit an Avatar in, which would be fun, or possibly a nearly naked Prism and something else.
I'm a little worried about my mobility, since I generally play with a bit more mobility in my list, but I thought that it might be fun to run the Wraithguard unit of hard-hitting nastiness.
The general idea of my list is typical Hammer-Anvil. I don't have a lot of ranged Anti-tank, and I'm worried about this turning into a slug-fest list.
Thanks a lot all!
you can try fitting a wave serpent w/ BL to to move the banshees
Yeah, I was considering that option as well. Either I can put the Banshees in a WS and zoom them to whichever flank the Scorps come in on (if they don't infiltrate) for support, or I can flank with the WS if it has the Scorps inside of it.
The only downside to flanking is the lack of an Autarch in this list- I'd be a bit vulnerable to bad reserve rolling.
Also, if I end up havnig my two HtH hammer squads involved somewhere else, it leaves my Wraithguard anvil out in the rain without any good HtH support...
In that case look into the WL, but I am still concern on the banshees being sitting ducks

In my experience, scorp flanking works out pretty well even if you come in third or fourth turn instead of second due to the fact that the enemies units are weakened/battle lines are broken. Infiltrate the scorps and get a wave serpent for the banshees for a 1 2 combo.
To save points, war shout can be dropped off banshees and even acrobatic (unless you like the charge defence it gives you) Also, ive never been a fan of both defend and bladestorm, Id always just take bladestorm unless you plan on ccing with avengers, which I dont advise since you already have the scorps and banshees.
Also drop runes of witnessing to save points because perils of the warp got nerfed in 5th edition.
With your leftover points, buy something mobile such as a fire prism, warp spiders (they can deep strike for free now), hawks with skyleap, or preferably an objective taking bike squad,
just suggestions, hope it helps a little.
