    1500 vs Orks

I'm posting a custom list that I am considering using against a local Ork player. I honestly don't know much about Orks and have only played them a few times, so I'm seeking guidance from the forum vets. My putative opponent's usual 1500 pt list consists of the following:

Big Mek w/Kustom Force Field (no other upgrades)
3-4 Squads of 30 Boyz with Power Klaw Nob
2 Squads of 18 Boyz in Battle Wagons; Nob w/ PK (AV 14!)
1 Shokk Gun (the one with the variable strength.)

1500 Pts - Dark Eldar Roster

HQ: Urien Rakarth + 5 Uber Grotesques 175 Pts

HQ: x2 Haemonculae 41 pts each
with Scissorhand; Stinger; Haywire Grenades; Plasma Grenades

    Elite: Wyches (10#, 158 Pts)
9 Wyches with Wych Weapons and Plasma Grenades
1 Succubus w/ Poison Blades and Trophy Rack

    Elite: Wyches (10#, 160 Pts)
9 Wyches with Wych Weapons and Plasma Grenades
1 Succubus w/ Poison Blades, Trophy Rack and Gruesome Talismans

    : Warp Beasts (6#, 75 Pts)
    5 Warp Beasts
1 Beast master w/ Agoniser; Splinter Pistol

Troops: Warrior Squad (20#, 220 Pts)
    19 Warriors w/
Shredder (x2); Splinter Rifle (x15); Splinter Cannon (x2)
    1 Sybarite @ [28] Pts
Poison Blades; Splinter Pistol; Gruesome Talisman; Trophy Rack; Plasma Grenades

Troops: Warrior Squad (20#, 220 Pts)
    19 Warriors w/
Shredder (x2); Splinter Rifle (x15); Splinter Cannon (x2)
    1 Sybarite @ [28] Pts
Poison Blades; Splinter Pistol; Gruesome Talisman; Trophy Rack; Plasma Grenades

Fast Attack: Reaver Jetbike Squad (4#, 120 Pts)
    Blaster (x2)

Heavy Support: Ravager (1#, 145 Pts)
    Disentegrator (x3); Horrorfex; Nightshields

Heavy Support: Ravager (1#, 145 Pts)
    Disentegrator (x3); Horrorfex; Nightshields

    Total Roster Cost: 1500

When we play, it will probably be annihilation with standard deployment. My tactics for this list would be to dispatch the Jetbikes to take out the Shokk Gun (an easy KP for them) and if they're not dead, have them try to pop the Battle Wagons in the rear armor. The Ravagers will work as a team, moving slowly (at first, anyway) and putting down maximum template carnage on tightly packed targets. I'll try to concentrate my fire on one squad at a time and hopefully pin one of the ones in the front, slowing down his advance. Wyches and Warp Beasts will hide out and counter charge when the Warrior Squads are already engaged. Urien and co. will screen Warriors at first and engage when the Warriors do. Haemonculae will join Warrior squads for a little extra killiness.

    Suggestions?

    This is more than reasonable

I don't think they Haywires will do you all that much good and I would be tempted to drop a few Wyches to give these guys Bikes.

Gruesome tlaismans do nothing in 5th, drop em. I'd also shrink the size of the wyche squads to 7, the extra wyches don't do that much and the points could be used more effectively elsewhere IMO. Beasts are OK, but liekly to get shot even by Orks without a portal, still try en .

    These are solid.

Horrorfexes are probably not massively useful, although they might be once the Orks close... hmm. I'd say see how they play, but maybe drop them in the future if they don't play well.

    Not bad at all.

Since my opponent plays a primarily foot slogging list and has a lot of models, I thought that putting H-Fexes on both Ravagers and having both of them target whichever squad is out front might work to slow his advance a little bit. If I aim for the middle of the squad, the Dissies won't miss and will probably inflict some heavy casualties.

I only want to get a single charge off with the Warp Beasts.. one charge and they'll probably make their points, if not in kills, at least in distraction.
