Lots of MLs but only Shadowsun can kill heavy tanks (but maybe two per turn). Well, with that many seekers maybe, but you have to roll a 6 to glance. It would be fun to send out all those missiles into Marines and such tho.
This is for point limit 1850?
Maybe drop the 11-man squad of Fire Warriors to toss a Shas'ui and Bonding Knife into each of the other FW squads, then consider swapping out one Skyray for a Hammerhead or a pair of Broadsides to deal with heavy tanks like Land Raiders and Monoliths. You could also squeeze points by dropping two Pathfinders per squad, if you want to try to fit in a couple Crisis Suits or a squad of Kroot or something. Other than that, looks like an interesting (albeit, simple and spammy) list.
I love the smell of detonated seeker missiles in the morning. This is an interesting list that seems like it would be fun to play, especially on a terrain heavy board where los is obstructed to the point of rendering rail guns useless. More often than not, however, this will not be the case. I agree with Nemesis that it would probably be a good idea to swap 1 skyray for a hammerhead or team of broadsides.
Whatever you decide let us know how it does!
I hope SS will never be backed up against a wall having to make use of those "toys" but you never know, right? She is just a moral booster, which is something here baby FW's really need when they start crying.
I know I really need to add some S10 (cries), but I am unwilling to remove any FW's or its composition to a large degree because it would reduce SS effectiveness and make it more competitive. I know that sounded strange but my friends are tired of dying by the hands of my TADR's, Kroot, and RH's. This is meant to be a "fun list" even though it doesn’t look very fun on there end, but it does on mine LOL.
My intention is not to blow anyone off so how about this?
3x4 PF's w/ DF: DP
2x1 SR: BC + DP
1x3 BASS + 2SD's
Now the major concern is the lack of ML's and easy kill points stemming from the PF's. The ball is back in your court, is this one better or should I just say, "It is meant to be fun so don't sweet it, you lose you lose, it was a fun list in the first place."
I am unable to field test it at the moment because these areas: FW's, PF's, & SR's are areas I have never bothered to use before, so everything in seen here I will have to purchase (except for the BASS, and that’s if I decide include them). Fear not though, I will be buying all of this (in modest amounts) when I get the cash.
