this army i have designed for an upcomeing conflict tornament in aus.
Warboss: Power claw, twin-linked shoota, cybork body, 'eavy armour. 105 pts
Big Mek: 'eavy Armour, Shok Attack Gun. 100pts
5 Nob Bikers: 225pts
10 Loota's: 2 meks with kustom mega blasta's. 150 pts.
20 ork slugga boys: 2 rokit launcha's , Nob has Power Claw and boss pole. 155pts
what you think? the plan was to make it as balanced as possible while still suiting my play style and love of certain models

Personally i would worry about nob bikers at this points range to be honest especially with no upgrades, they will still be pretty killy but not as durable as they could be which is one of the major reasons i like them.
For a balanced list for tourney, especially with 5th ed and the objectives i would probably drop the nob bikers and pick up another squad of boyz. or even more i would drop one of your HQ's, i love both of them but in a 750 points 2 HQs may be excessive and by dropping one of them you and the nob bikers you could get another 2 squads of 20 boyz in but it would also change the complexion of your army massively!
2 HQ choices is too many in anything less than 1500 points. At this level, you should just use one, either the warboss or the big mek. Personally, I'd use the big mek, give him a bosspole, and attach him to the Lootas. That'll give them more staying power. Warbosses aren't very effective in units on foot anyway.
For 5 points more, you'll double the effectiveness of the nob bikers, simply by adding a bosspole. With ork leadership of only 7, they only have a 58% chance of passing a regular morale check. With a bosspole, their chances go up to about 84%. Statistically, that's a huge difference.
I agree with fallout though, nob bikers only work will all the fixinings (painboy, cybork bodies, 2-3 powerklaws, wauughh banner, bosspole) and they aren't going to be effective at this level. Instead, I'd use them as regular warbikes, with a nob, powerklaw and bosspole.
Of course, this opens up a troop slot in your army, but again fallout is right, if you want to be competitive, you'll need more boyz. You'll need either 20-40 more boyz, or 2 trukks and enough spare boyz to put 12 in each trukk.
As it stands, there's no way the nob bikers will be effective at this level. It's just too easy to kill them all. However, since there aren't any other options with these models, here's how I'd use your army:
Warboss w/powerklaw, attack squig, cybork, bosspole (attach to boyz on foot)
10 Lootas w/2 meks
20 slugga boyz w/nob, powerklaw, bosspole
5 Nob bikers w/1 powerklaw, painboy, cybork, wauughh banner, bosspole
That's the way I'd play it at 750 points. In any case, good luck!

hey guys, thanks ro both of you, good advice. after reading it all, i agree with mynameisgrax on the army list he came up with. though i might change the hq depending on some playtesting i will do.
i can see fallouts logic with what he said, but as is often the case with dis Army list ting wes not got da teeth for da models!
but i'll deffinately look into it should i get some moolah for models
