    1000 points of Orks

    Small ork army based off my existing Orks and whats gonna come with the Black reach box set we're all eagerly anticipating. Its gonna be for pick-up games while a finish rebuilding/painting my 1500 points of tyranids for 5th edition. Got about 90 points left not sure what to throw in.

    Warboss 115
    w/ PK, attack squig, cybork body and eavy armor
    Bigmek 95"
    SAG. Will hide in cover and go after tanks and other juicy targets

    20 boyz + nob w/ PK

    10 boyz, big shoota, nob w/ PK, all in a trukk. Grab objectives and hold down units while the rest of the mob arrives

    Not bad, but you should always have the maximum number of boyz in trukks. Even 12 will leave you wishing for more, so there's no reason to cheat yourself. For the points, I'd either cut the attack squig, or some grots.

    Where are the HQs going, by the way? The warboss works fine in one of the groups of 20 boyz or the trukk, but the SAG should be with a stationary unit...and there doesn't seem to be one. You could always field 2 smaller units of grots, with one as the entourage for the big mek.

    I'd try and find 2 more deffkoptas. Since one casualty sends them running, I always either use 1 or 5 in a group. Anything in between feels like a waste.

    So with the points, I'd add some sort of entourage for the big mek, two more deffkoptas, and if you have the points, it never hurts to add more boyz.
