Hi ive been playing warhammer 40k and fantasty for about 8 years. My 40k armies have been Tau, Space Wolves and last but not least necrons. So my new army i just started building now is Eldar ya. >> got tired of people saying necrons are cheasy. Well take a look at my list would like some feedback.
TL Bright lance
2x shuriken catapult
Support weapon Battery-150
x3 Vabro cannon
I really think this list is effective. You might get a few cheese calls but what competative eldar list doesn't. I'm assuming the plan is for the farseer to stick by the WL and Guardians while the DA go and claim some early objectives. The Vipers harras the enemy and the vibro cannons will punish all of those that arrive in their line of sight.
Just a note I like the flamers on the WL especially in 5ed. where we are seeing more troop heavy armies. These can be really devestating right before a charge.
I have never used support weps. so I can't help you there. Looks like a great competative list. I know you left the necrons because of cheasy calls but you will get alot spamming Dire Avengers in Wave Serpents like that, just a warning.
Ya thanks i was kinda worried about that. I make take on all lists i am kind worried about hoard armies i was considering fielding in some banshees to protect my gun line or possibly even an avatar.
HQ: Guide is ok but I would prefer DOOM. For a few more points it is more effective against MEQs for suriken fire and you don't have to stay so close to your target. Taking both powers is also valid with spirit stones but doom alone is nice & cheap.
Troops: You have plenty of scatter laser fire so swap the WS weapons for BLs to take down enemy tanks. Guardians are ok and the pathfinders are fine but 8 may be a bit strong so you could save points to get the Bright Lance upgrades here.
Fast: Vipers aren't that great with single shot weapons because of their BS3. I would change them to scatter lasers and zoom off looking for vehicle flank/rear armour.
Heavy: Change the WL weapons to BL and EML. This gives you 2 BS4 shots rather than one TL BS4 shot and costa less points. If you want it to be twin linked cast guide on it. get 2 flamers also for point defence. Weapon platforms are ok.
