    First "Formal" Hybrid list

I am a sudo-fan of heavy mech, but as I have found it hard to form a decent-sized, all mech and suit army-My brain developed this

HQ-Shas'el, Airbursting Fragment., missile pod, multi-track

Elites-XV8, Shas'vre, Cyclic Ion, missile pod, targetting array, HW multi-track, HW target lock
-XV8, twin-linked missile pod, target lock
Elites-XV8, twin-linked plasma rifle, targeting array
-XV8, twin-linked missile pod, target lock
Elites-XV8, twin-linked plasma rifle, targeting array
-XV8, twin-linked missile pod, target lock

Troops-12 Fire warriors, Shas'ui, bonding knife
    -Devilfish, disruption pods
Troops-12 Fire warriors, Shas'ui, bonding knife
    -Devilfish, disruption pods
    Troops-10 Kroot
    Troops-10 Kroot

    Fast Attack-5 pathfinders
    -Devilfish, disruption pods

Heavy Support-Hammerhead, Railgun, disruption pods, smart missile system
Heavy Support-Hammerhead, Railgun, disruption pods, smart missile system

So, the Fire Warriors engage in FoF while the (SEVEN!!!!) XV8's Jump back and forth, letting off as many shots as possible. The Kroot are primarily a counter-charge unit, although they can offer an amount of support fire for the other units in the army.

My main concern is the lack of numbers-with only 4 scoring units, I will lose if these troops get killed too quickly.

And a question-should I attempt to drop a few battlesuits (mainly the first 2) and try to squeeze in some units on foot?

Asking for suggestions without knowing what you're planning on doing is like asking a blind man what color shirt matches your eyes.

HQ-Shas'el, Airbursting Fragment., missile pod, multi-track
Kind of split isn't he, anti-horde/anti-light tank or heavy troop.

Elites-XV8, Shas'vre, Cyclic Ion, missile pod, targetting array, HW multi-track, HW target lock
-XV8, twin-linked missile pod, target lock
Personally with this unit I'd drop the missile pods and pick up more anti-infantry weapons. Keeping all the weapons in the same ballpark. Another thing, its a little stupid to give both models target lock. Only one model needs the target lock.

Elites-XV8, twin-linked plasma rifle, targeting array
-XV8, twin-linked missile pod, target lock
Elites-XV8, twin-linked plasma rifle, targeting array
-XV8, twin-linked missile pod, target lock
These are fine, but separating your fire may not be the best choice.

Troops-12 Fire warriors, Shas'ui, bonding knife
    -Devilfish, disruption pods
Troops-12 Fire warriors, Shas'ui, bonding knife
    -Devilfish, disruption pods
    Troops-10 Kroot
    Troops-10 Kroot
With the FW's in the devilfish they are harder to take down to some degree, and if you stick back and shoot then you should be ok and your shooting should be able to whittle down your opponent. The kroot too should be pretty good with their cover saves in the forest.

I guess I really did not look all that well on what I was throwing onto the XV8's.I may drop the Shas'vre and his pal for a unit of stealthsuits, and set the other XV8's with the same equipment and give the Shas'el a CIB.

Just a quick note, special issue weapons on your XV8's is better then on the HQ. Not only is it cheaper, but you don't want your HQ to be the center of attention all the time, and that can draw the fire away from him when needed.

However, I find this to be a double edged sword in the case of the CIB, where the shas'el's
    bs really comes in handy.

One quick note, have you ever made use of stealthsuits, and are they any good in preference to crisis teams (essentially 7 crisis suits, or 5 and a team of 3 stealths?)

I use 6 stealths, & when I get the money Ill be using 5 crisis suits including my hq. Personally I like them, but from what I've seen its personal preference.

Shas'vre with target array is 5pts cheaper before weapons.

I decided to trim some fat and throw in some stealthsuits for added anti-infantry to support the Crisis suits. There is little that I figure needs any more changes than that.

HQ-Shas'el, plasma rifle, missile pod, HW multi-tracker, targetting array

Elites-2 Crisis suits, twin-linked plasma rifles, targetting array
Elites-2 Crisis suits, twin-linked missile pods, targetting array
    Elites-3 stealthsuits

Troops-12 Fire Warriors, shas'ui, bonding knife
    -Devilfish, decoy launchers, flechette launchers

    Troops-10 Kroot

    Fast Attack-6 Pathfinders
    -Devilfish, decoy launchers, flechette launchers

Heavy Support-Hammerhead, railgun, decoy launchers, 2 burstcannons, flechette launchers

Disruption Pods, not decoy launchers. Other than that it looks good.

hey. hows it going? i was just looking through lists. and i noticed that your army is lacking alot of ap 1/2 weapons. you only have 2 plasmas and 2 railguns for those pesky 2+ TEQs. this is just an observation. obviously you can still kill TEQ's with volume of fire.
